Summary of the book.

Sam, the main-character of the book, is sixteen who loves skating. He is also a big fan of Tony Hawk (called TH in the book). TH has written a book of his life. In his bedroom he has a huge poster of TH. He often talks to TH to ask him for advice, when he does something wrong or when he's in trouble. But he do not ask that advice to the real TH, but the Tony Hawk-Poster in his bedroom. That poster contains important phrases and quotes of the book. That poster has the possibility to send Sam into the future. So that often happends in the story. His mom was 16 years old when she got Sam. His father and mom got separated.
When his mom was invited by her colleague for a party, she asked Sam to go together to that party. Sam agree and when they arrived Sam was looking around. While he was doing that he spotted a girl. It was the daughter of the colleague of his mom. That girl called Alicia in the book. It was love on first sight when they saw eachother for the first time. But both of them were shy. So they didn't talk so much. After that party they decided to see eachother another time. So after much of dating they got a relationship.

Sam is very happy and his mother too, because she met a new man, who's called Mark in the book. Sam often goes to Alicia to watch tv with her or have (dsjkfsdf). But one time it goes wrong. His contraceptive broke and they where thinking that Alicia was pregnant. Alicia and Sam started to be afraid for the consequences.
He ask TH for advice and he says that he have to run away. But he thought that let Alicia alone was the wrong choise. So TH send him into the future to show him how it will end. When he send him into the future he saw that Alicia was pregnant indeed. And the baby was called Roof. A normal person who's getting a baby would be happy. But Sam was everything except happy when he saw that Roof exsists.

Then he send back by TH into the normal time and he decided to run away to Hastings, which is a district in the southeast of England. There is an harbour and a motel. So when he arrives in Hastings, he enters the local motel to rent a room. But he had only some change, not enough money to rent a room for one day! But in that motel is an old man who needs help to get up and down at the stairs. So the old man ask Sam to help him everytime and he will pay him enough to live in Hastings. Sams insist that it would not be wrong for helping an old man. But after the first time of helping he quite with helping because the duration of the job was terribly long. Because of that he can't pay the room. So he decides to go back home.

First of all, he had gone to Alicia because of the pregnancytest. And that was a correct step to find out the truth. So they had gone to the pharmacy and did the test. And out the test were came bad news, because Alicia was pregnant indeed. They also broke up, because they didn't love eachother anymore.
So they didn't know what to do. After much of worring about the reactions of the parents, they decide to tell them the truth face to face.

When he came home his mother was crying of happiness. She was also mad about the action which Sam had undertaken. And his mother was also in love again with Mark. Not actually in love, but very good friends. And Mark was also in his house when he camed in.
And Sam said that Alicia was pregnant and his mom reaction was very calm and his dad had to laugh. But the parents of Alicia react very mad and they weren't happy with this news. They gave Sam the fault, because his mom was also 'like' him. They were worring about the future of Alicia and the 'how to live with a baby when you are 16 years old' situation. And later they decide to raise Roof together. And at that moment they kiss and they got a relationship again.

The name of the baby, called Roof in the "TH-future", is in real Rufus. Because when Alicia was going to have a baby, was the music on and the singer called Rufus. So that explains the name of the baby. After Rifus was born they both hadn't  time anymore for their education, so they quit. But later, when it's all right with the baby, Sam was going to college. A part-time college for musicians. And Sam send much time into the future by TH to see what he's doing wrong. And after he see that, he doesn't do that anymore. He also sees that his mom is pregnant from Mark.

At the end of the book, which has an open-end (That means there is no happy or bad end, you don't know how the book really ends), Sam will be send for the last time 2 years in the future: they broke up again and they bring Rufus up together. Alicia and Sam have both a new boy- and girlfriend and all four of them going to diner.
