Setting:
The story begins at the quit Lake Charmain and then in Washington, the story occurs around the year 2000.

Characters:
David Beck: the main character in the book is the husband the killed Elizabeth. Thinks everyday about her and he became a pedestrian in Washington. After he got 2-emails regarding Elizabeth’s death he is dedicated and willing to give up everything to find his wife and proving his innocence to the FBI. Nothing is said about how he looks.

Eric Wu: He got hired to track down and kill David Beck, Wu is incredibly disciplined, if he wasn’t working on his physical prowess he was in front of a computer screen. He has bleached blond locks; he can kill people with his hands and has huge arms. He never smiles and is always dead serious.

Shauna: she is involved with David’s sister, Shauna is a plus-size model, she is six 6 foot one and weighs 190 pounds, she is bossy, but she also helps David out a lot. David can tell everything to her and she will understand. When David was in big trouble, he called Shauna for help and she send one of the best lawyers to help him out. She cares a lot about David and David cares a lot about Shauna since Elizabeth had gone.

David Beck, former pedestrian and his wife Elizabeth Beck went to Lake Charmain to celebrate the anniversary of their first kiss. However, this all soon ended up in tragedy...

It is 1996 when David Beck and his beloved wife Elizabeth Goodhart Beck went to celebrate their first kiss. Once it turned dark in Lake Charmain, Elizabeth swam unknowingly of her death towards land where her murderer awaits. Meanwhile David Beck, who was still in the lake, was stunned when he heard his wife scream for help. He swam as fast as he could but it was too little, too late, she was gone and in search of her he got hit several times by a baseball bat as result being knocked out. One week later Elizabeth was found buried alongside a road, Elizabeth was brand marked she had bruises all over her body and was cut open. At first the town folk did not believe it. However, this soon changed after the revealing police report which said that the killer is still on the loose. People in the village were stunned about the fact this happened in their little town, their town in which almost no crime has been committed for the past 12 years. “That this could happen at that beautiful lake" and “It’s a peaceful and quiet town, nothing really happens around here. I just don’t have the words for it” was the main reaction of the people. 8 years pass and David is still in grief for his beloved Elizabeth until 2 other bodies were found buried in the lake. The police department reveals that the bodies found at Lake Charmain had been lying there for approximately 5 to 8 years already. With this new information the research of the murder of Elizabeth had begun again and David is accused of murdering both these men and Elizabeth. The motif for the murder of Elizabeth was that David would get 200,000 dollars from Elizabeth’s life-insurance. The Police will not reveal any information concerning the other two men found at Lake Charmain. David’s reaction was shocked, after all this, he was accused. Although after a long struggle with the FBI and the police he eventually proves his innocence.

My Review

I have chosen the book “Tell No One” because first of all I like thriller books; also, my mother recommended this book to me. When I started reading the backside of the book I found it to be just my book. The foremost thing I learnt is how rapid life is and how easily it can be ended, to enjoy every day as much as possible and not to be depressed all the time because why should you? Also I realized that there must be a lot of innocent people in jail or killed for the wrong reasons. I enjoyed reading the book from page 1 to 320, the book had a genius plot, Harlan Coben turned, twisted and plaid with the plot causing you to think: HUH every 10 pages. I never felt more drifted to finish reading a book; I wanted to know the end so bad. Typically with a book the beginning is commonplace. this book, had action from page 1 Although some chapters in the beginning of the book were a bit unclear the tiny puzzle pieces all fall into the right place throughout the book. The book is not light reading but I think is also doesn’t have any literary value, so the book is entertainment. I wouldn’t recommend this book to people who want a make a book report since the plot is rather complex furthermore it is a thick book. However, I will highly recommend this book to every single other person who likes to read thrillers. Because I have read approximately 20 thrillers and this was the best book so far. The genius plot combined with the writing style of Harlan Coben. He makes the book take hold until the very end of the book. The book has also been made into a movie which won 4 César awards and I will definitely watch that movie.

I think you deserve this price more than anyone else because you; David Beck have shown us that you can get what you want if you just work hard enough for it. And I can say that because not only you have been hit hard enough, you have been suffering hard enough and you kept on going hard enough despite the fact that the odds for proving your innocence and finding out if Elizabeth is still alive was so small, furthermore you had a very modest amount of information concerning her death, but nothing could stop you. You have shown us that everything as long as you genuinely want it, can be done. That we shouldn’t be depressed all the time and take life for granted, that we need to live every day. You life was snatched away from you within a supposed to be memorable day. For 8 years long you were a pedestrian, helping children and for 8 years long you had nothing but a tinkle of hope, etched by the thought of Elizabeth still alive. Then with 2 e-mails and nothing more regarding Elizabeth, your world had turned upside down, again, you could not even tell anyone. Then on top of it all you got accused of murdering your wife Elizabeth, the one you have loved for almost all your life but not only her you have been accused of, you also got accused for the murder of 2 men you have never seen, yet this did not stop you, you kept on looking for information, no matter what the costs. You have been beaten up by a hired thug. Although you eventually, actually outran and outsmarted the two hired thugs who needed to kill you in order you got to know too much concerning the death of Elizabeth. Despite all of these terrible things, you actually proved your innocence with 2 hired thugs chasing you and you have found Elizabeth, alive. All because of 2 e-mails. And this is why I think you are the one who should get this award; you have earned not only this award but also a happy life with Elizabeth.
