My family and I were in a bookstore in Maastricht, and my mother told me I could choose a book I would like to read. So I wandered around and found this book. I had heard from a friend that it is a very nice book, so I decided to read it.

Plot (Short summary of the story)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

On a school-free day, Mia and her family decide to go see their friends. On their way a lorry slips and hits their car. Suddenly Mia sees her mother and father laying on the ground, dead. She walks around and finds her own body. Turns out that she is now a sort of ghost. In the hospital she hears that her mom, dad and Teddy did not survive the accident. She is in a critical state in the hospital. Then she has to decide if she wants to wake up, or if she wants to die. The book is about one night, with all kind of flashbacks of Mia, remembering her family. When she decides she wants to die, despite of everything everyone told her, Adam walks in and plays cello music for her. That moment she sees her life razing past, and then she wakes up.

 

Opinion

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I loved the book, because you can easily empathize in Mia her situation. It was nice to read, and everything was explained clearly.
