The BFG
The Witching hour
Sophie can’t sleep, but everyone else in the dormitory is already sleeping. The light of the moon botheres her, so she goes out of bed to close the curtain. She watches her street, it’s a quiet night. Suddenly something tall, black ans thin comes up.

Who?
The tall black creature happenes to be a giant. He walks down the street en bends in front of each house. Then he stops in front of mr. and mrs. Goochy’s house, where he blows something through a trumpet thing into the cildrens’ bedroom. Shophie hides under her blanket.

The Snatch
Suddenly, the giant’s hand comes into the dormitory and reaches out for Sophie. He holds her blanket, with Shopie in it, like a bag and rund though the village, the fields and crosses rivers. Sophie is afraid he wants to eat her.

The Cave
The giant goes so fast, Sophie feels like they’re flying. They approach a cave with a big stone in front of it. The go inside, and Sophie sees jars everywhere. Then they look at eachother.

The BFG
Sophie and the giant are talking about what giants eat: people. The giant tells Sophie what people from different counrties taste like. Sophie is afrais the giant want to eat her, so she tries to change the subject. The giant doesn’t like that, so Sophie asks what kind of humans he eats. When he says he doesn’t eat humans, Sophie can hardly believe it. The giant is the big, friendly giant: The BFG.

The Giants
Sophie asks the BFG why he took her away from the dormitory. He tells her that he was afraid Sophie woukd tell everyone, and he would become an allurement in the zoo. Then, he shows Sophie the other giants to warn her for the. She must never go out of the cave, otherwise she’ll be an appitizer for the giants.

The Marvellous Ears
Sophie wants to knowwhat the giant was doing in her village. After a while, he tells her that he was blowing dreams into the houses, sweet dreams. She asks how, and he tells het that his ears can hear the dreams. He shows her the net, wich he catches the dreams with.

Snozzcumbers
The BFG tells he eats snozzcumbers in stead of humans. Then Sophie gives him a compiment about his English, and the BFG is happy.

The Bloodbottler
The Bloodbottler, twice as big as the BFG, comes into the cave because he heard the BFG talking to someone. Sophie hides in the snozzcumber, but the BFG doesn’t know, so he lets the Bloodbottler taste it. He thinks it’s so disgusting, that het spits it and Sophie out and leaves the cave.

Frobscottle and Whizzpoppers
Sophie is thirsty, but the BFG only has Frobscottle, wich makes you fart(Whizzpop). At the end, Sophie tries and flies around when she farts.

Journey to Dream Counntry
They are going to cathch dreams, with Sophie in the BFG’s pocket. When they pass the giants, they throw the BFG around lika a ball. At last, they run to a grey country, where dreams begin.

Dream-Catching
In the misty country, they first catch a good dream and put them into a jar, but then they catch a nightmare, and the BFG doesn’t want to go on anymore.

A Trogglehumper for the Fleshlumpeater
The BFG blows the nightmare(trogglehumper) to the Fleshlumpeater. He kicks and screams in his sleep, so he awakes the other giants. Suddenly, they’re all fighting.

Dreams
The BFG writes lables for the jars of the dreams and shows Sophie some other jars. He tells he learnt to write from a little humans’ book. Then the other giants pass on their way to eat English humans.

The Great Plan
Sophie doesn’t like the idea of English children being eaten this night, so she makes a plan. They are going to mix a dream for the Queen. She has to dream about the giants, children that are eaten and about Sophie and the BFG. When she wakes up, she has to see Sophie and then she must know it wasn’t just a dream.

Mixing the Dream
Mixing the dream is a wonderful view. When it’s ready, they see it’s a nightmare. Sophie doesn’t want to give the Queen a nightmare, but then she realizes it’s important and she travels in the BFG’s ear.

Journey to London
When they travel to England, they pass the other running giants, and then they reach London. The BGF is good at hiding, and jumps over the wall near the palace.

The Palace
The BFG listens with his big ears where the Queen sleeps. When they find her, he puts Sophie on the window-sill.

The Queen
Sophie waits on the window-sill untill the Queen waes up. Then Mary, the maid, comes into the room, opens the curtains and sees Sophie. The Queen stays calm, but the mais screams. Then Sophie calls the BFG ans not only the Queen, but also the maid starts to believe them.

The Royal Breakfast
All the footmen must run through the palace for BFG’s breakfast. The Queen is told about the BFG and the other giants. She checks their story by ringing to Sweden and Baghdad. She calls the Head of the Army and the Head of the Air Force immediately.

The Plan
They decide to go to Giant Country, to catch the giants ans tie them up in their sleep. The BFG walks ahead, and the soldiers follow him in the helicopters. They have already tied up 8 of the giants, when they awake the bonecrunching giant by accident. Shopie sticks her brooch into his ankle and at last they tie him up. They fly back to England, with the giants swinging under the helicopters.

Feeding Time
The giants have to stay in a big hole and have to eat snozzcumbers for the rest of their lives.

The Author
The Queen lets a house be built for the BFG next to the palace. It becomes an allurement. The BFG learnt to write and to read an he wrote ‘’The BFG’’.
