A compelling movie about love, death and trust

Imagine falling in love with someone who you know will most likely die, partly because of you. That is what happens to Coriolanus Snow in the movie ‘Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes’. It is a movie from the well-known trilogy ‘The Hunger Games’ based on the books by Suzanne Collins. This science-fiction movie made by Lionsgate is a great success because the film explains the backstory of an important character. In ‘Hunger Games: The Ballad of the Songbirds & Snakes’, the protagonist changes in an impressive way into the antagonist of the trilogy, which is presented amazingly.

During the movie, the main character changes from personality in an interesting way that no one expected. The main character, the protagonist, is a rebel. He is against The Hunger Games, an annual tradition where children, tributes, fight against each other until death. Moreover, the protagonist sacrifices everything he has to stop The Hunger Games. Despite everything he did for them, the other rebels betray him. As a result of the sudden betrayal he turns into a murderer, the antagonist of the movie.

The theme of the movie makes in an impressive way a dark turn during the movie. Firstly, the movie seems to go about death, cruelty and war. When the main character falls in love, the movie slowly changes into a love story about happiness and romance. Also the music changes from sad to happy, which causes a great effect on the feelings of the watcher while watching the movie. Just when the watcher thinks it is going to be a movie about romance and happiness, it immediately makes a really dark turn. In fact, the theme has suddenly gone back to the original: death, cruelty and war.

The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes is a beautiful movie full of plot twists: not only the main character, but also the theme makes a dark turn. I would absolutely encourage you to go and see this amazing movie if you like some romance and action. It is definitely worth your time.
