Bob Wilson is a guy, he’s a bit weird. When he was a child he was a bit odd. He is poor, because he can’t get a job. He lives in a flat, and he’s a very good painter. In the story Bob dies. The one who’s telling the story, Bob’s friend, is a normal guy. He has a job, a pretty wife (Janet, she doesn’t like Bob) and he’s the only friend of Bob.

The beginning, when Bob still was alive, was it the nicest. It tells how it was. When they were kids, they already were friends. Bob then was already a bit odd, once they climb in a tree, but then the headmaster was coming. Bob’s friend climb out of the tree very fast., but Bob remained in it. The reason: he was looking at the sky. ‘It was so beautiful. It was so blue. I just wanted to sit and look at it.’

5) Write a brief summary of the story:

Bob Wilson was always an weird sort of guy. He didn’t have many friends. He always paint places where he was never been, and he spent most of the time in his small flat. He never went out. Then Bob start’s to get crazy. He thought he was Van Gogh. Van Gogh was just like Bob a painter. When Van Gogh had a fight with his best friend, he cuts his left ear off and shot himself till dead. Bob was trying to be Van Gogh (he really believed he was Van Gogh) and after a fight with his best friend he cuts his left ear off and shot himself too. Bob send his ear to his friend. When Bobs friend get the ear, it wasn’t dead, it was moving! Bobs friend couldn’t tell the police, because he thought they would think that he killed Bob. So he had to get rid of the ear. He put the ear in the dustbin, and the dustman were already coming! But the ear came back… Bobs friend tries everything to get rid of the ear, but the ear keep coming back. It gets really creepy. Then he gets an idea and he goes to Paris. He goes to the grave of Van Gogh, and drops the ear there. The ear don’t follow him and finally he was free again.

A 4, because I was a bit scared of the story. It’s about an ear that comes after a guy. How weird’s that?! I didn’t like it. I read it when I was alone at home, at night, and maybe that wasn’t a good idea. I’m fast scared...
