The adventures of Tom Sawyer door Mark Twain

1. The author of the adventures of Tom Sawyer is Mark Twain. Mark Twain is born on the 30 November 1835 in Florida, Missouri. His name was Samuel Langhorne Clemens. Mark has written this book in 1876 and in 1884 he has written The adventures of Huckleberry Finn. Mark Twain is becoming famous in 1865 with his story The celebrated jumping frog of Calaveras County. After 35 year writing stories he died on the 21 April 1910.

2. The adventures of Tom Sawyer. Explanation: This book is about a boy Tom sawyer. Tom and his friends Huckleberry Finn, Joe Harper and Becky Tratcher experience a lot of adventures. It’s the adventures of Tom Sawyer because Tom is the most important boy in this novel.

4. This story is an Adventure Novel and the themes are Love and Adventure because it’s a novel with many adventures and it’s in the title. Love is a theme because Tom is in love with Becky and he does everything for here. This story is a true story. It’s realy happened.

5. I’ve chose this book because I saw it in the library and I thought, this book is maybe a good book for English. And I’ve read a other book of Mark Twain: The adventures of Huckleberry Finn before.

6. My opinion of this book: I think it is a nice book to read but sometimes you can’t follow what they are doing or what is happened. That is a little bit tedious. I think Tom, Huckleberry, Joe and Becky are amusing people. So that makes it a interest book to read.

7. The place where Tom’s adventures take place is in and around St. Petersburg. And it is happened around 1850 and 1900. The author is a omniscient story-teller. This means that the author knows all the idea’s of the people and knows what is going happened.
The main character:
Ø Tom Sawyer: He is a boy who do like school. He like to play a pirate with his friends Huckleberry and Joe. He is opinionated because he and Joe and Huckleberry run away and stay on a island in the Mississippi river. He is in love with Becky Tratcher.
Ø Huckleberry Finn: He is a friend of Tom. He live everywhere and nowhere. He don’t go to school.
Ø Joe Harper: He is a friend of Tom.
Ø Becky Tratcher: She is the girlfriend of Tom. She is scared when they are got lost in the caves
Ø Sid: He is the brother of Tom.

8. Tom and his brother Sid live in St. Petersburg in the house of Aunt Polly.
Tom like to play pirate or highway robbers with his friends Joe Harper and Huckleberry (Huck) Finn, a boy who drinks and smokes. Huck sleeps outside. Becky, a new girl in the town is the girl who love Tom.
On a midnight in the local graveyard see Tom and Huck how the local doctor is murdered. Injun (Indian) Joe is the murder but he put the knife in the hands of Muff Potter. So Muff is arrested.
A time later Joe, Huck and Tom play pirate on a island in the Mississippi river. Whole St. Petersburg think that Joe, Huck and Tom are drowned because they stay a few days on the island. They eat fish whole day. If they come back, Aunt Polly is furious because she thought that they are dead.
On a picnic are Becky and Tom get lost in a cave. Tom forgot to mark the way. A few days later they has found a way out but Becky don’t want to go back because she is tired and she want dead. If they are in the town everybody is happy because they think that Becky and Tom are died. If they see Huck, there is a lady who want to adopt Huck. So Huck has a own home.

9. I think it’s a good review because the story is good summarized. The most important things are on it, like Author, Genre, Setting and the Story. The only thing I miss is something about the Main Characters.
