Garrett
Citaat 1: “He looked to be in his thirties, with a lean face and short brown hair that seemed to have bleached a little from hours spent in the sun. He was taller than the student by a couple of inches, and the sleeveless shirt he was wearing showed well-defined muscles in his arms. Because the picture was a little grainy, she couldn’t make out the colour of his eyes, though she could tell that his face was weathered as well. She thought she saw wrinkles around the corner of his eyes, though that could have been caused by squinting in the sun.”
Citaat 2: “He was tall and broad shouldered. Though not strikingly handsome, his face was tan and rugged, as if the sun and sea had taken their toll. His eyes weren’t nearly as hypnotic as David’s had been, but there was something compelling about him for sure. Something masculine in the way he stood before her.”
Citaat 3: “Unless the photo had been taken for a special occasion, from early childhood on, it seemed he’d always dressed the same – either jeans or shorts, a casual shirt, and Top-Siders without socks.”
Theresa
Citaat 1: “As she stepped farther away, he couldn’t help but notice her figure and how her straight, dark hair grazed her shoulders. But it wasn’t only the way she looked that caught his eye – there was a confidence in the way she moved.”
Citaat 2: “Her hair was dark brown, cut just above her shoulders, and straight as spider silk. Her eyes, the feature she was most often complimented on, were brown with flecks of hazel that caught the light when she was outside.”
Citaat 3: “She was shorter than he was – about five feet seven, he guessed – with a lovely face and a figure that reminded him of models he had seen in magazines. But even though she was attractive, there was something else about her that caught his eye.”
Catherine
Citaat 1: “Picking it up, she saw that Catherine was attractive – a little more petite than she was – with blond hair that hung to midshoulder. Even though the picture was slightly grainy and looked as if it had been reproduced from a smaller photo, she still noticed Catherine’s eyes. Deep green and almost catlike, they gave her an exotic look and almost seemed as if they were staring back at her.”
Citaat 2: “Catherine was gangly and thin, always the smallest in her class, and though Garrett always held a special place in his heart for her, he never noticed that she was slowly becoming an attractive young woman.”
Citaat 3: “In a word, she was beautiful, with wonderful curves that made men and woman alike turn their heads whenever she walked past them. Her hair was blond and her eyes held infinite mystery; ..”

Schrijf een ander slot aan het verhaal. Het moet uiteraard wel een logisch vervolg zijn. Gebruik minimaal 200 woorden.
I’m going to write another end of the book. I rewrite it from the part of the book where Theresa leaves Garrett, forever. She decides that she’s better of without him. She’s deeply in love with him so it’s very tough for her to leave Garrett, but she doesn’t change her decision. In the book Garrett dies not long after the break with Theresa. This is my end of the book:
The italic section is thát part of the book where my section begins.
Looking over her shoulder, she began to back out of the drive. Garrett put his hand on the hood as the car started to move, his fingers gliding along the wet surface as it slowly backed away. In a moment the car was on the street, ready to roll, the wind shield wipers flapping back and forth. With sudden urgency Garrett felt his last chance slipping away. ‘Theresa’, he shouted ‘wait!’. With the rain coming down steadily, she didn’t hear him. The car was already past the house. Garrett jogged to the end of the drive, waving his arms to get her attention. She didn’t seem to notice. ‘Theresa!’ he shouted again. He was in the middle of the road now, running behind the car, his feet splashing trough the puddles that had already begun to form. The break lights blinked for a second then steadied as the car came to a halt. Rain and mist swirled around it, making it look lake a mirage. Garrett knew she was watching him in the rearview mirror, watching him close the distance. There’s still a chance.. Theresa was crying all the time. Looking in the rearview mirror, saw Garrett running and waving.. She was in a tangle and can’t stop crying. Something deep inside her says she had to stop. And then she stopped the car. Theresa stepped out en began running to Garrett. It was still raining but she doesn’t even notice. Garrett was running too, and a moment later Theresa was hugging and kissing Garrett on the middle of the road. ‘I’m so sorry!’ she said, ‘I just.. I just realise that I love you too much’. Half an hour later, Theresa and Garrett were sitting on the veranda of Garrett’s house. ‘I’m so glad you came back!’ Garrett says, ‘but there’s a problem. I love you, and I want to be with you all the time. Not just one weekend in a month. We already talked about this, but we don’t find a resolution yet.’ ‘I know.. I know all about it’ Theresa says, ‘My life isn’t here, in North Carolina.’ ‘But I know I can’t ask you to leave this place. So I decided to come and live here.’ ‘Are you sure?’ Garrett asks, ‘It’s a great idea! But I don’t want to push you..’ ‘Yes I’m sure. Tomorrow I go back to Kevin and tell him about it. I know he’s gonna like it to. You know he’s crazy about diving. And he likes you too.’ Garrett looked Theresa in her eyes ‘I love you’. ‘I love you too’ Theresa says. The next day Theresa was talking to Kevin. She told him about her idea to move to North Carolina. Kevin don’t like the idea at first, but a month later he was sitting on a plane next to his mother with a big smile on his face asking ‘When we arrive in North Carolina, can I go diving mom?’ ‘There will come plenty of time for you to go diving Kev.. and I know you’re gonna like it there!’

Schrijf zelf een gedicht naar aanleiding van het boek. Schrijf ook een verantwoording van minimaal 100 woorden.
Goodbye
The words you say hurt
Because it’s coming from the man I love
All those things you said
You're really making me mad
But I can’t scream, only cry
It's like I'm dying inside
How could you do this to me
How could you say goodbye
You try to comfort me
But I won't listen
My heart is broken
So many left unspoken
As I watch you walk out the door
I think to myself
I can't take this any more
I close my eyes and think of what used to be
Before you walked away from me
This poem is written true the eyes of Theresa. It’s about breaking up with someone you love. In the book Theresa breaks up with Garrett because they think their relationship won’t work because of the distance. Garrett lives far away from Theresa. Theresa doesn’t want to move to Garrett’s place, in North Carolina, and Garrett doesn’t want to leave his place. They both don’t know what to do. And although they love each other so much, they think it’s better to break up. But this is very though for them. I think this poem I’ve written matches well with the book.
