Educated: Michelangelo didn’t liked school, he was always drawing. When he was 16, he was apprenticed by Domenico Ghirlandaio. Later also to Bertoldo di Giovanni.

1501 – 1504: Michelangelo makes the statue David.

1527: Michelangelo commissioned to carve Hercules (never completed).
1535 – 1541: Michelangelo paints Last Judgement.
1547: Michelangelo begins working on Pieta for his own Florentine Tomb (never completed).
Michelangelo died at the 18th of February 1564, in Rome.
The Pièta
In 1501 Michelangelo was 24 when he began working on the Pieta, what had to be placed in Santa Maria del Fiore, in the cathedral in Florence. He wanted to make the statue for his own tomb. He worked 10 years on it.
The woman in the statue is Maria, who has to be a Virgin, she is carrying a dead Christ.

The last Judgement
It a fresco. Its placed in Sistine chapel in Vatican City . Its made by Michelangelo in 1537 till 1541.

David
The sculpture was made from 1501 till 1504. It is 5.17 meters high. It shows the Biblical figure David.
