Paradise
High temperatures, without burning away, a good infrastructure, great camp grounds, chic hotels and more then enough places to spend your money: little towns near a very blue sea.
You can’t deny it: the Côte d’Azur, which is the coast of South France, is paradise. It’s on the east side of South France, near big cities like Marseille, Nice and Cannes. The language everywhere is French. Don’t try to speak English, they won’t understand you.
There are lots of things to do for all people:
• For them who like shopping, I recommend Cannes in the first place, with over a thirty stores of famous fashion designers, like Gucci, Prada, Salvatore Ferragamo and Dior. There also are many (little) shops with less expensive clothes, like ZARA and Mango. Except for clothing, you can spend your money on jewels, souvenirs and ice creams. Cannes is the perfect place for spotting famous people (Cannes filmfestival), going out in discotheques and having dinner in excellent restaurants.
You could go to little towns like St. Tropez, Fréjus and St. Raphaël too. Here’s the possibility to go sailing on the sea. You’ll be on the boat for about an hour, and you’ll sail along the Azur coast.
• For them who like swimming or/and lying in the sun, the sea is their solution. Every town has it’s own beach, which is priceless. The sea is very clean and not extremely dangerous (for young children, for example) because it’s not deep, the first twenty meters. Because of the wind of the sea, the temperature is very bearable. And even more treacherous! That’s why sun milk is very important, unless you’d like to be deep red in the evening.
• For them who like an active holiday, my advice is to go climbing or mountain biking in the mountains, which is for about 10 kilometres inland. Over there you could also go for a walk or go running in the woods. They give shelter form the heat. Nature is very well protected, because of the heat the fire department takes care of the woods having enough water. Sometimes they even take it from the sea with helicopters.
• For them who like culture, go to Monaco. Monaco is an independent state in France, with its own government. In Monaco there are lots of museums, a few royal gardens, and two operas. There also is a palace (for the prince, the most important person in Monaco).
