2. 1 The writer of the story is Fredric Brown.
3. 2 Fredric was born on 29^th of October in 1906. His mother died when he was 14 years old, and his father short after. He liked writing detectives, one of Fredric’s other work is “Murder can be fun”. He died on March 11 in 1972.

2. 1 In the story it isn’t very clear in which decade it takes place, but I think around 1975, because the lamp is very yellow so it can’t be a LED light, and the LED light really became a thing around 1980-1990.

2. 1: A man who is a lawyer, wants to start a new life, and be free. He planned every little detail to get away. he stole lots of money, so he decided to kill his while because she might tell the police. The plan is fool proof. If anything goes wrong he would kill himself. His wife took him out for dinner. But he planned to have her home by 8.46 PM, and make himself a widower. 8.46 PM is the exact time of his birth.

He was running late during dinner, and began to worry. When he took her home he decided not to wait till they where inside, because if he did he missed it by a half minute. In the dark at the porch of their house, he took a crowbar and hit her head. He hold her with one arm while he opened the door, and flicked the yellow light on. All the guests for the party shouted “surprise!”

2. 1: I like the end the most, because it’s totally unexpected.
3. 2: The 3th Alinea I dislike the most, it’s very boring.
4. 3: I would rate this story with a 6. Because there’s a lot that gets repeated, but I like the idea.
