Particles.
This chapter is about solids, gases and liquids and the particles they are made out. Some substances are hard to classify. The particles in a solid are denser than in gases and liquids. Particles in gases are the least dens. In gases the particles can therefore move the most. In solids the particles can’t raeally move, they only vibrate. Gases, liquids and solids all can change in each other. When a liquid changes into a gas this is called boiling and when a gas changes in a liquid this is called condensing. When a liquid becomes a solid it’s called freezing and when a solid changes into a liquid it’s called freezing. When a solid changes into a gas, this is called sublimation, and the other way around as well. Three things found in a solid are foreinstants: iron, rock or wood. Three things found in a gas are carbon dioxide, nitrogen and air. And three liquids are: water, parfum and alcohol. The temberature when a liquid boils into a gas is called boiling point. Helium is the lightest gas in the world . You con’t see gases. Because particles move and change also some things change foreinstants in a thermometer the alcohol in the thermometer goes up when it’s hot and goes down when it’s colder. When gas particles mix this is called diffusion.
