As you can see we’re going to talk about the mystery around Pokémon GO that the US government is spying on us using Pokémon GO. this theory is believed by a lot of people on forums like reddit. But before we are going to check if this is true we’re going to tell you something about Pokémon GO. Pokémon GO is a very popular free downloadable game which allows you to catch little creatures called Pokémon with your mobile phone. It is created by the company called Niantic. You can use your camera on your mobile phone so it looks like you’re catching a Pokémon in your surroundings. And this is exactly where the mystery begins. Some people say that the government is spying on us using your camera on your device while you’re trying to catch some Pokémon. By doing so the government is able to make very accurate maps of places they couldn’t reach before. Places like the inside of your own house. And that is what we’re trying to find out. Is it true that Pokémon go is a project of the US government to spy on us or is it just an ordinary fairy tale.
The fact checking:
It is somewhat assumable that Pokémon GO is collaborating with the US government, because if you read the conditions to play Pokémon GO you will read that Pokémon GO will share private information of you and your child with government and law enforcement officials to protect their rights, property and safety. This means that there is a very big possibility that they also share information with the US government even when it has nothing to do with Pokémon GO. This is also one of the reasons that Russia has forbidden Pokémon GO because they don’t want America having a way to get so much intel in such an easy way. Also it is likely that they collaborate, because Niantic hasn’t responded to this yet.
But if you look at it in another way you see that Pokémon GO is very distractive and since the release of Pokémon GO there had been reports of people who drove against walls, trees and other objects. This is also one of the reasons that a couple of states in America are considering to forbid Pokémon GO. And in India, Indonesia and China it is already forbidden because of the many accidents in other countries. And in fact there are no solid facts that the US government is spying on us using our cameras
Conclusion:
We think that some of this mystery is true, because America and other countries are known to spy on people. Pokémon GO is giving the government a lot of intel. And we think that even though there are no solid fact to prove it is very likely that they use this, because why would they just waste this intel. We however don’t think that niantic designed their app as a spying program. but we think that when they designed it they did have spying in mind. because they still haven’t responded to this theory.
