One day at the Archeon

One day at the Archeon.

On October the twelfth we went to the Archeon.
We were lucky ,because it was a beautiful day.
I thought, it was like the prehistoric village in Eindhoven.
Very small and with much animals, who are walking all over the place.
I thought also, that there was no restaurant or souvenir shop.

After a long ride we were at the parking place of the museum.
It was a very big place. There were not much people in the museum,
except the people, who work there. After we came in, we made a group photo.
Than we were going to the Roman inn.
Over there we tried to find the people of our walk group. That was very difficult. After a long time and much asking for names we found
each other.

Than we began to make our questions.
They were sometimes pretty difficult.
The questions were in Dutch and we must translate them into English.
That was not easy. Our group started with the questions about the Roman times. We found the answers around the Roman inn.
We couldn’t find the question about the Roman calendar, because the calendar
was destroyed. Than we had to go to the Middle ages. There we found every question. The questions about the Prehistoric times were also easy.

After one hour with questions we had lunch-time.
There was free chocomel!
That was nice. Than we were going to the Prehistoric times. We tried to make fire, but nobody could make it. It was too difficult.
After that we had to go to the Roman town to see an offer. There was a priest and she chose me to help with the offer! Everyone who was looking at the offer , must put some food in a bowl.
After the offer we had to go to the gladiator fight.
We were sitting at the right side of the arena. First we had learned the rules of a gladiator fight. Than the gladiator fight began.
We thought first that the oldest gladiator was going to win, but after that the younger one tackled the other gladiator and picked his weapons and stabbed him with one of them. He was the winner. After the gladiator fight, we had to go to the bus. We went home.

After I was home, I thought: It was a nice day at the Archeon.
The Museum was much bigger then I thought and there were no animals all over the place. We have made all of the questions and the guided tour was also funny.
I liked the children of the ISSE. And the gladiator fight was also nice to see.
It was a long day and I was very tired , when I came back home.
