The title of the book is Walkabout.
The name of the author is James Vance Marshall.
1. It is an adventure story.
2. It is about a bush boy. He is on his walkabout.
A walkabout is a test for aboriginal boys of thirteen or fourteen, they
must walk all alone from one waterhole to another. They also must
search for food alone. The journey lasts six to eight months. Only the
strongest boys will survive.
3. - Mary = 13 years old, she comes from Charleston USA. She has long blond hair, and is very afraid for the bush boy. She looks after her little brother Peter.
- Peter = 8 years old, he comes from Charleston USA. He has short blond hair. He wants to be friends with the bush boy.
- Bush boy = He is 13 or 14 years old, He has dark hair. He is from Australia; from the bush. He is on his walkabout and he wants to help the children stay alive.
4. I like the bush boy the most, because he is very friendly against Peter and Mary.
He helps them because he thinks he has to safe them. He thinks it is mend to
be or something.
5. Mary and Peter are related to each other; they are brother and sister.
6. I don't know it is not clear. You can't see what it is,
but if I may guess? Past, Mary is very old-fashioned.
7. The story takes place in the desert in Australia.
8. It begins with the plane crash. The plane crashed down and was on fire.
Peter and Mary brought themselves in safety.
The co-pilot tried to help the pilot but the plane exploded.
The children were the only passengers on the plane. From that moment
were the children on their own.
9. It ends with Mary and Peter who are running over the hills, to the houses from
the white people. The bush people send them though there. They send them
through there after Peter and Mary drew some houses. The bush people
understand the drawings and drew the children where they had to go.
10. I like the end the most because, they found white people and that was their
mission. It ends happily ever after I think. But you are actually not sure because he had not written if the children had found the white people. The bush people could be wrong, so it is an open end.
11. I think the book is a bit boring because they are just walking and walking.
It is so predictable, you know what is going to happen.
The only twisting thing in the story is the bush boy's death.
12.I'd advise it to them, if they are looking for a boring, easy book.
But for something else not. I won't tell my friends that they have to read it,
because it isn't an exciting book. You really could fall asleep when you are
reading it!
13.Summary:
