• Overview :

Varon is a thief who has stolen a crystal from the planet Zeron. He's being chased by the guards of Zeron. Suddenly he runs into Omega, a robot who obeys orders from Miranda and Garth, who teleports him to the spaceship which is stolen by Miranda and Garth. They had stolen the an very expensive computer from the planet earth but had to hide it because they also got chased by guards. And now they went back to pick it up. To get rid of the guards, who followed the spaceship, they had to go faster then light and therefore they needed the crystal to get energy. But Varon had to turn over the switch with made Omega obey the orders of the two other thiefs.
When they had escaped Miranda and Garth wanted to go back to steal another crystal. Omega teleported them down to planet Zeron, right into the crystal chamber. There, it all went wrong.
As the alarm went off, Varon bumps the gun out of Garth's hand because Garth had intentions to shoot at him. Miranda takes the lazergun and shot Garth down. When Varon turns around Miranda gives him an injection to sleep. Varon doesn't sleep immediately and bumps the lazergun out of her hands and he shoots Miranda down.
Omega teleports Varon back to the spaceship, which they split under the two of them.

• Commentary :

It's a good science fiction book because the story is pretty cool and the tension is present which may not be absent is this story otherwise it would be boring.
I think it would be a good story to make a film off; the basic story is there you only need to fantasize a couple of things. It could be a good movie with lots of special effects.
I would only recommend the book for he/she who loves to read science fiction because the whole book is science fiction. And not every person loves to read that kind off books. I personally love reading science fiction. I once read "Het edict" and that is the most beautiful book I've read in my whole life and it properly is going to stay that way because I only read because I have to.
