Summary

Maggie was a nice girl. Her brother Tom came back from school holidays. And was so happy that he saw his sister again. They were the best friends with each other. His father had a own mill, what was everything for him. Tom had an hard education on school what was really diffecult for him. He came only at home in the weekends. 2 Years later was Tom in a court because some people said that he had destroyed a expensive building, what was not true. They lost the case, Mr. Tullivan had to pay a lot of money. But he didn’t want to sell his Mill. Philip; the man that wanted to have the Mill... One a day Mr. Tullivan was riding with his horse and suddenly Philip came out of nowhere. The horse scared and threw Mr. Tullivan of the back of the horse and fell, he had many things broken. From that day Philip and Mr. Tullivan hated each other. Just before he died Tom had to get his bible. And Tom wrote: Philip Wakem put a shame on his father and wanted that he also died. Tom and Maggie swore that they stik to the bible. A friend of Philip, his name was Stephen. Maggie felt in love with Stephen. Tom who had take over the mill. Warned that she never see Stephen again, but Maggie didn’t listen. She ran away with Stephen. They went to Scotland. A year later Maggie noticed that Stepen not the man is she thought he was.Maggie went home and sneeked in true the window. She knew that she was not welcome at home. Suddenly the mill came down. And the Mill was in a few minutes full of water. Maggie was almost drowned but suddenly Tom helped her on a boat. The went further down the river. And suddenly the boat broke an she both drowned. The graves of Tom and Maggie marked with the words: In the death they were not seperated. In all this time the love each other.

Tom always loved Maggie also in the hard times. I think that everyone must do that.
