The main character of this story is Chili Palmer. Chili is a though guy, when you have a problem with him you’d better run. He’s a loane-shark who has to collects mony for a maffia gangster. The guy wich Chili has to collect from goes to Hollywood to hide. Chili goes to Hollywood to and then desides to stay there and make a movie with Harry Zimm.

Summary:

Chili Palmer is a loan-shark who collects mony for a maffia gangster (Como). When Como dies, Chili’s new boss becomes Ray ‘Bones’ Baroni. Chili and Bones don’t like eachother. Chili goes to Las Vegas for ‘business’ and collects mony from Harry Zimm (a B-film producer) at the same time. Harry and Chili start to talk about filmbusiness and Chili tells he has an interesting script for a movie. Actress Karen Flores (the girl who was spending the night with Harry) knows instindley Chili works for the maffia. Karen is the former girlfriend of a staractor named Michael Weir, who Harry wants to have in his movie. But then Harry needs $ 500.000. He knows somebody he can get some mony from, Bo Catlett. But he has to make another movie for Bo. Bo has $ 500.000 in a save at the airport wich he can’t tuch because the DEA is watching it. Chili gets more and more interested in producing a movie, wich according to him is just like the work he did for the maffia. Meanwhile Harry contacts Bones and tells him Chili is in Los Angeles, this complicates things seriously.

Hallo Chili. Hy. I heard about your interest in the moviebusiness, tell me something about it. Now, well I don’t want to talk about it with ya, a stranger. I’m no stranger, I’m the most popular moviejournalist in whole Hollywood. Everybody knows me. Yeah, so what. Hmm…I heard you had a story for a movie and that story was about what you’ve been true last year? Who tells ya that? I’ve told you just before I’m the best of the best. Now do you want to say anything about it. Oke, but not to much. The story is about a loan-shark who has to collect mony from somebody who’s scamming the insurance by letting his tell he died in an airplane crash. But ofcourse the guy isn’t dead, he goes to Vegas to gamble with the scamming mony. Hmm… interesting, what more? Nothing, I’m going to tell ya. And now bugger off. Oke bye.

In my opinion it’s a fun story, but I wouldn’t recommend others to read this book. About this book is a film made and the film is much more exciting to watch, than to read the story. If you want to read the book, you have to read it verry precisley to see the humor in it. So you have to be quit good in English.
