The Story:
Describe the main character in about 50 words
The main character in this book in Jesse Harmon.
All his thoughts and actions are described in this book.
Jesse seems to have a lot of problems after the death of his brother Bry.
He thinks he could have saved his brother which he didn’t, he feels guilty about this.
He also feels guilty because he’s in love with Chloe and that’s the girl Bry liked very much. He feels he’s betraying his brother.
Does the person change in the book and how?
Yes he changes; when his brother dies he blames himself.
When he’s in love with Chloe it even gets worse. But he really wants to find the one who killed his brother. When he finally finds the one who killed his brother he is really shocked but after a while he goes on with his life.
He has a job and a new girlfriend and he doesn’t blame himself anymore because he now knows he couldn’t save his brother.
Who is the next important character?
Bry Harmon, he’s the one where the whole story is about.
When he dies the story begins.
Are there any losers in your book?
There aren’t any losers, because in the book there is no competition or something like that.
Did the author write the book to entertain you or was there a message?
I think it was to entertain the readers; the story is more like a detective.
You just read it because you want to know who killed Bry.
Was there a character in your book that you would like to meet and why?
No not really, the characters are not persons I’d like to meet because they all are a bit strange or they are having problems with themselves.
And the questions I’d wanted to ask certain characters are all explained in the book.
Tell whether your book was o.k. for you or to childish, boring enz. Than you thought, too difficult or a complete waste of time?
The book was pretty difficult because I didn’t knew what a lot of words meant. The book was o.k. not my favourite book but not stupid or boring just o.k. The end of this book is really not what you would expect but this doesn’t change my opinion.
Tell the story in 10 lines
Jesse and his brother Bry walk home after a party. They want to get home soon so they take the short route. They walk on the highway and through a tunnel. As they walk on the highway a car is lurching across the road. Jesse yells to Bry that he has to jump of the road but Bry is deaf and doesn’t hear Jesse. Bry is hit by the car and dies.
Jesse and Chloe (Bry’s girlfriend) decide to look for the one who killed Bry.
As they look for the one who killed Bry, they fall in love.
They are still looking for the person who killed Bry, but they don’t have any clues. They think it’s a good idea to go to Sowbug, he’s a man who lives by the highway and the tunnel where Bry got hit.
They ask him what he has seen and so they get a description of the car who hit Bry. With this description they find out that it’s the car of Chloe’s father.
As they ask they find out that it was the mother of Chloe who hit Bry.
They find out that she has an alcohol-addiction she can’t get ride of.
It’s a great shock but now at least they know who did it, so they can go on with their lives.
Give the book a mark an explain your mark
I’ll give the book a seven because it’s an exciting book but it’s a bit too long and at first you just want to stop reading because it’s a bit boring.
The end is really different to what you would expect, but still I didn’t really think it was a very good or a very bad book. So that’s why I gave it a seven.
