Dear Andrew, I’m very glad that I’ll go to Scotland soon. I will take a plane to London because that is the cheapest way. From there I’ll travel to Glasgow by train. I’ve done some research on the internet to find a good train. And I’ve found one, which is a no change train service to Glasgow. So I can remain in my seat the whole journey. I’ll depart from Heathrow and go from there to King’s Cross Station, by underground. Depart at King’s Cross is due at 1 p.m., 30th September 2000. Because there are no changes, I’ll arrive in Glasgow Central Station at approx. 6 p.m. I’ve booked a first class seat, so there is good service on the train. I’m rather excited, because this will be my first, all alone journey by aeroplane to a foreign country. I think travelling by plane and train is a good thing, because it saves the environment. Is it possible for you to pick me up at the station in Glasgow? Hope to hear from you soon
