Horse racing

I am going to have my speech about horseracing. The reason that I want to have my speech about horseracing is that I find it a stupid and very dangerous sport for horse but also for some people who been involved in that sport. The only thing that matters by horseracing is the money, and that makes the sport so dangerous. When you win a race you get a lot of money as a price. The owners of the horse are only interest in the money they can win and not in their horses. I also ride on a horse and I know that it is a sport with a lot of dangerous things but when you one’s did it you can’t stop it is very special to get a relation with you’re horse. I failed of my horse 2 weeks ago and brushed my leg and back but when I am better I am going to ride again. And that why I don’t like the horseracing because they don’t have a relation with there horse they only use them to get money, and that is wrong. Also the problem is that the horses that have been used for horseracing dying on a young age. A horse in the normal sport dies on a ages of 24 but horses in the racings are dying at the age of 14 and that is very strange. Most of the time the race horses dying at a hart attack. By horseracing you have different kind of sports. There are three kinds of horseracing, on a race course whit no obstackels, cross country’s and steeplechases. There are more but I didn’t find them interesting for my speech and otherwise my speech was to long. So I made a selection. First I am going to talk about races on a race course. When the race start there are 14 jockey’s whit there horses they start at the same time on the same course, when the jockeys can see the green light they start. The jockey who finished at first wins the race and get the big money. The length of a course is 1 mile, 1.6 kilometres. How much rounds the jockeys has to make depends what for race it is. The two most famous derby’s are the derby in Epson in England and the Kentucky-derby in the U.S.A. Now I let you see an picture of a race. I don’t know where the derby is but you can see that the horses don’t look happy. When the race is started the horses will been hit a lot. The reason is that when you hit a horse he will get scared and then he go faster and is what the jockey wants. In a race the horses are in full gallop. In this kind of sport is also a lot of gambling. Than we also have cross country’s. That is a race in a big area. The riders and there horses start one for one, so not at the same time. The rider who finished in the fastest time wins and get the price. In a cross-country you have to ride a long course with obstackels where the horse have to jump over. In a cross-country you have different obstackels as fences, hedges, low walls, water, hills and e.c.t. most courses are in the woods so the can use the nature for obtackels. The horses have to jump over the obstackels , but when they don’t jump high enough the will be injured because it won’t fall down the are fast obstackels. And that makes it so dangerous, when you make one mistake you ore you’re horse will be injured. A lot of horse died because they had broken legs. Also people have died in this sport. In nether land we have one cross-country in the year. More crosscountrys are not allowed because it is to dangerous. The sport is very popular to see it is very spectacular. in this sport there isn’t a lot of gambling. At last we have steeplechase. That is a race on a racecourse but than with obstackels. The obstackels are low hedges, the horse have to jump over it. The course is 1 mile long, 1.6 kilometres. And it has the same rules as a racecourse without obstackels. 14 jockeys are on the start and when they see the green light the can start and the one who finished at first has won. With the races on a racecourse there are a lot people who are gambling and that is wrong. I am not saying that gambling is wrong but when you gambling on a racecourse I think you been addicted to gambling. When you want to gambling for you’re fun you go to the casino and not to a racecourse, I think. When you are addicted to gambling you have a big problem. On many racecourse you can borrow money and than you get bigger problems. Many people lost there home wife, children, work by gambling. So my opinion about gambling on race course is that it not normal and has to be stopped. Also the health of the horses is very strange. The owners are saying that there horses are healthy otherwise the couldn’t race and that is true, but how can they explain that most racing horses dying on a young age. A horse that is in the normal sport dies on a age of 24. horses that have been on races dying on the age of 14. ,most of those horses dying on a hart attack. My opinion about horseracing is that it isn’t a sport. They omly thibk at the money and that isn’t good.
