Summary of the movie.
Mark and his brother Ricky went to the forest to smoke.
Then a car stopped.
The driver wanted to commit suicide.
Mark tried to stop him, but the man pushed him into the car.
The reason why the man wanted to commit suicide is that the Mafia wanted to kill him.
The man “Jerome Clifford” has murdered a senator named Boyette.
Mark could escape out of the car and he and Ricky could go away.
After Marks escape, Jerome committed suicide with a pistol.
The FBI was investigating the murder and found fingerprints from Mark in the car.
The FBI and the public prosecutor confronted Mark with the evidence. But Mark said: “I’m innocent”, because he should be killed by the Mafia if he said otherwise.
Mark had found a lawyer: Reggie Love.
Reggie and Mark were against the FBI and the public prosecutor.
Then Mark had to go to the judge and he had to stay a couple of days in jail.
He could escape from prison and he called Reggie.
Together they went to New Orleans and found the dead body of the Senator in Jerome Cliffords boathouse.
Reggie made a deal with the public prosecutor.
Roy Foltrigg “the public prosecutor” was told where the body of the Senator was, only if Mark and his family were given the next:
- Witness protection,
- A (big) white house with walk-in-closet,
- Ricky become to incorporate in a special clinic for free,
- Dianne “the mother of Mark and Ricky” got a start amount to be able to live,
- Dianne got a new good job.

First impression: Nice, good, sympathizing person who wants to help people.
Part: She is lawyer, she is lost her children years ago, she is together with Mark goes to New Orleans, she made a deal with Roy Foltrigg.

First impression: Bounder.
Part: He is from the Mafia, he wants to kill Mark and his family, he wants to kill Reggie en Jerome.

First impression: Rich and arrogant man.
Part: He is public protector, he try¡¦s to get Mark guilty, he has always press around him.

Part: He is the brother of Mark, he was in shock when Mark was in the car with Jerome Clifford, he was in a coma in the Hospital.

The name of the author is John Grisham.
John Grisham was born on 8 February 1955 in Jonesboro; Arkansas.
He did the study to tax-lawyer at the Mississippi State University.
Two years after he was graduated, he was preferred in the Mississippi house of Delegated.
In that time he wrote three books of which he only finished the last one: A Time To Kill (De Jury), in 1986.
