The Two important events

The first important event is the reaping. This event entitles the rest of the novel because now it is Katniss who will take part in the Hunger games instead of her younger sister Primrose. If Primrose was the one who would be a tribute, the book would be completely different. Besides, Peeta is the other chosen one. Because she owes her life to him, there is an immediate conflict because she is too grateful to kill him. The other important event is the victory. During the game the game maker Seneca Crane decides that not only one tribute can win. There can be two winners, if they are from the same district. This was all set up by Haymitch, their mentor. The moment they have killed Cato, the last survivor, the rules change. Suddenly only one tribute can win. Katniss is so angry she decides to swallow the red poisonous berries to kill themselves, and at that moment Seneca screams: Stop! The winners are Peeta and Katniss. Katniss doesn’t know that with this action, she rebels against the Capito

The setting

The story is set in the United States. This is getting told in the book 1 time. When they are trying to explain where the games are and how the players are chosen. This is at the start of the book so you know it is in the US. This is very nice because I kinda have an imagination of what it looks like. The story takes place in an unspecified future time. But you know it's from the future when you see the capital! This looks just like very tall and high tech buildings with super fast magnetic trains.

After North America collapsed the government created the panem. This is where the games are, there are 12 regions with every region 2 players that can participate in the hunger games. These are called the two tributes ‘’We will choose the first tributes’’ one boy and one girl.

When the game starts it's a forest with super long and mossy trees everywhere.

The setting It is really important for the book because there is a clear division between the rich districts and the poor ones.

The main character

The main fundamental person is Katniss Everdeen. Katniss Everdeen is a sixteen-years of age young lady who lives in District 12 in Panem. She has a younger sibling, Primrose Everdeen. Katniss is a solid and savvy young lady, who gives food to her loved ones. Her dad passed on in a mine mishap so she is the one to deal with the food. Area 12 is an exceptionally unfortunate piece of Panem. Individuals pass on there due to craving. Her closest companion is Gale. They chase together in the forest around locale 12. Storm has an exceptionally large family. His dad kicked the bucket at a similar mine mishap as Katniss' father. Katniss transforms into a recognition in the Hunger Games in light of the fact that at the harvesting her younger sibling Prim is being chosen. She chips in, and turns into the rival of Peeta Mellark. In the Hunger games she continues playing brilliant games and pulling stunts so she endures to an ever increasing extent. She collaborates with the young lady from area 11, Rue. Lament resembles Prim, and they become indivisible. Whenever they pull a stunt to explode the food supply of the profession recognitions (accolades from the more rich regions, 1, 2 and 4 who truly need to be in the craving games) Rue dies

My opinion

What did you like about the book?

What I liked about the book was that the writer put so much effort into the characters they are really defined and the way they communicate with each other in the book is just like you would imagine to do with their description. That's how good she made the characters. And it's also written so amazingly well it all just fits together perfectly and everyone can understand it. i think u need to read this book atleast 1 time in your live

What i didn't like about my book was:

how in the end she arrives at the resolution that everybody not associated with her are carrying on with a cheerful life, particularly when she accepts that Gale was blissful elsewhere, tune in up, regardless of how destroyed you are, the amount you love Peeta over Gale, that gives you 0 rights to expect Gale is cheerful, perhaps he is yet as his cherished companion it is your obligation to always remember the amount he helped you previously, there are a few obligations that can't be paid off and she owes Gale a lot more then she owes Peeta.

What have I taken away from my book?

I always knew that kindness pays off but this book let me know once again.

When Katniss holds Rue and sings to her as she dies, then decorates her body with flowers after her passing, the other tribute from District 11 spares Katniss’ life:

“Conflicting emotions cross Thresh’s face. He lowers the rock and points at me, almost accusingly. ‘Just this one time, I let you go. For the little girl. You and me, we’re even then. No more owed. You understand?’”

Would i recommend?

Yes, I don't really know how to explain. You will feel the experience when you read the book!!

Alternative Ending

When the two last people are left over the announcer should say: Uhm,, attention please there has been a slight rule change regarding the previous rule change the previous rule change has been revoked…. There can only be one winner. So you must kill each other. Katniss: What you can't do to us we already won!

Peeta: Yea you can't do that we already won, you can't change the rules after the games are over.

Announcer: Uhm yes yes we can you just have to kill each other now fight to the death please.

Katniss: Well uhm what if we are not gonna do that and just sit right here?

Announcer: well uhm it doesn't really work like that now please stop talking and go fight.

together: What if we refuse to fight and not kill each other?

Peeta: because we would rather commit suicide then kill each other. and you can't let us do that because of the rules right? We will pull a Romeo and Juliet because we're in love.

Katniss *gags* uh yes because we are so in love and we are gonna eat these berries if u dont let us both win.

Announcer: Go ahead

Slowly starts to count down

Katniss says: Okay nevermind i dont really love him he is a nice guy but i wouldnt commit suicide of it. I MEAN HAVE YOU SEEN GALE?

Peeta throws the berries on the ground and they go to a fist fight,

The watchers of the capital are enjoying it so much!

When Katniss pulls out her arrows she slits the throat of Peeta and does a small victory dance.

Announcer: Congrats Katniss you won!! U will get income from the capital for life and you will be called the victor!
