The story is written by Ira Levin. Ira Levin was born in 1929 in New York he became
one of the most successfull mystery writers . In 1953 he had written his first book a Kiss Before Dying. He wrote his most succesfull book in 1967 Rosemary’s Baby. Most of his books were filmed also the book The Boys From Brazil.

ABOUT THE BOOK The book tells us a story about German Nazi’s . They escaped from Europe after World War II and live under a pseudonym in Brazil. Their leader is the infamous Dr. Mengele. One of the other main persons is Yakov Lieberman. He is a well known Nazi hunter.

In Chapter one Dr Mengele or Mr Aspiazu had booked a room in a restaurant for seven persons. He gives orders to his guests to kill ninety-four men all over the world. They must die in a sort of accident. Barry Koehler heard them talking and he was going to warn Lieberman. Wenn he called Mr Lieberman there where people knocking on the door. When he opened the door two men came in and killed him because they knew that he made a tape recording during their meeting in the Japanese restaurant.

In chapter two Lieberman was talking about what kind of person Dr Mengele was. And he said that he was called the Doctor of Death in the concentration camp Auschwitz
He did terrible things with people. He tried to change brown eyes into blue and other experiments and after that he killed them .

Chapter three is mainly aubout the investigations of Lieberman. During those investigations he discovers the reason why Mengele wants to kill the ninety-four men. After visiting several families where a sixty-five year old man has been killed he discovers similarities. All the women have about the same age and have an adopted son. All the killed men were civil-servants
The boys also have the same age and they all look the same. After consulting a biologist he eventually comes to the conclusion that Mengele has succeeded in cloning people. It also appears that all the boys are a clone from Adolf Hitler. Hitlers father was also a civil-servant and he died when Hitler was about fifteen years old. Mengele wanted the boys to grow up in about the same circumstances as Adolf Hitler

The story comes to an end in chapter four. Mengele wants to finish the job himself and travels to America. Liebermann is also in America and has made an appointment with mr. Wheelock. The Wheelock family also have an adopted son. Liebermann arrives at the Wheelock place after Mengele has shot mr. Wheelock. He also shoots at Liebermann but he is only woonded. Then the son of mr. Wheelock comes home and eventully sends his guard dogs to Mengele. The dogs kill Mengele.

Laying in hospital some Jewish investigators came to visit Liebermann. They knew about the story and wanted to kill all the boys
However Liebermann was against it and tore the list of names of the boys in pieces.
