Sherlock doesn’t believe that he wants to investigate what happened himself. When Sherlock and Watson arrive in Boscombe they start looking for clues. Eventually Sherlock founds out that the son of Mr. McCarthy is innocent and that the real murderer is the best friend of Mr. McCarthy Mr. Turner. Mr. Turner admits that he killed Mr. McCarthy he wrights on a paper why and how he killed Mr. McCarthy Sherlock didn’t told the police that it was Mr. Turner because he didn’t have much more time to live. Het verhaal speelt zich af in Boscomb rod 1890. Sherlock Holmes Diary: I heard that Mr. McCarthy was murdered and that the police thought it was Mr. McCarthy’s son. I asked them why they think it is Mr. McCarthy’s son they answered that a girl named Patience Moran saw Mr. McCarthy’s son fighting with Mr. McCarthy I wanted to know if Mr. McCarthy was really murdered by his that is why I asked Dr. Watson for help I found out that the girl Patience Moran did saw Mr. McCarthy fighting with his son but she never saw Mr. McCarthy’s son really murdering Mr. McCarthy. She only saw the fighting and heard them yelling but she didn’t saw a murder. After collecting more evidence I found out that it wasn’t Mr. McCarthy’s son but it was Mr. Turner the best friend of Mr. McCarthy. He asked me not to tell the police that he killed Mr. McCarthy because he didn’t had much more time left to live.
