B 1) Power of some people (hooper) over some people (kingshaw) 2)Joseph and Edmund Hooper move to Warings, a big house that Mr Hooper inherited when his mother died, now his father is dying to. Because Joseph thinks that Edmund is lonely , he promises his son a friend, but Edmund, who likes the idea that this house will be someday his, does not want to share Warings.Joseph does not realise this. Joseph is looking for a housekeeper, he finds Mrs Helena Kingshaw with her son, Charles (10 years old). Edmund is cruel and unfriendly. Charles bullies Edmund. Charles hides in a unused chamber the most of the day. When Mr Hooper and Mrs Kingshaw are going to London, Edmund leaves the house early in the morning. But Hooper finds him. They get lost in the woods. While they are trying to get their way home the weather changes, during the storm Hooper becomes afraid. Kingshaw does not humiliate him, as Hooper would have done. After the storm Hooper takes his old role up. They come to a river and they go to swimming there, and Hooper almost drowned in the river and he has got a big wound on his head. Kingshaw takes care of him, until they are found. Hooper says that Kingshaw knocked with a stone on his head. The Hoopers’ and the Kingshaws’are going te the ruins of the castle. Hooper falls by climbing the ruin. Hooper has a broken leg (Kingshaw wished he was death) Mr. Hooper and Mrs. Kingshaw are going to visit Hooper everyday. Kingshaw is alone there and he met a friend: Fielding. When Hooper comes back, he told Hooper he hates him and they are absolutely no friends. Then Mr Hooper and Mrs Kingshaw decide to get maried. This will take place at the day that the boys go to school, Kingshaw have to go to the same school. When Hooper visit Fielding (his friend) Kingshaw takes two battle plans and he burns them outside.Hooper says nothing about that but Kingshaw finds a note: something will happen to you. Kingshaw is afraid and the morning of the wedding and the firstschool day, he goes to the river and he puts his face in the water and takes a long breath . When Hooper finds him, he thinks triomphantly: it was because of me, and he feels it as a triumph. 3)Charles Kingshaw: an 11 years old boy, terrorized by Hooper, he’s friendly in the beginning against Hooper Edmund Hooper: a nasty boy, he sees Charles as a intruder of HIS castle, he’s the boss Mr. Hooper: widower, he took Mrs. Kingshaw in as a housekeeper, but in the end he will marry Mrs. Kingshaw: she doesn’t see the things Edmund does to her son, she always takes Edmund in protection, she tells mr. Hooper all the time, Charles is so happy, but he isn’t. They are real-life characters

3) Yes, it’s good to read how it’s possible can go, also if you are 10 or 11 years old.
