: Writer
: J.K. Rowling
Like that of her own character, Harry Potter, J.K. Rowling's life has the luster of a fairy tale. Divorced, living on public assistance in a tiny Edinburgh flat with her infant daughter, Rowling wrote Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone at a table in a café during her daughter's naps — and it was Harry Potter that rescued her. First, the Scottish Arts Council gave her a grant to finish the book. After its sale to Bloomsbury (UK) and Scholastic Books, the accolades began to pile up. Harry Potter won The British Book Awards Children's Book of the Year, and the Smarties Prize, and rave reviews on both sides of the Atlantic. Book rights have been sold to England, France, Germany, Italy, Holland, Greece, Finland, Denmark, Spain and Sweden. A graduate of Exeter University, a teacher, and then an unemployed single parent, Rowling wrote Harry Potter when "I was very low, and I had to achieve something. Without the challenge, I would have gone stark raving mad." But Rowling has always written; her first book was called "Rabbit." "I was about six, and I haven't stopped scribbling since." For Rowling, the change in her fortunes has been slightly bewildering. But her daughter has no doubt about her mother's new career: when asked what mommies do, she replies without hesitation, "Mommies write!" 2 : Title

Bloomsbury Publishing Plc, 38 Soho Square, London W1D 3HB
: Genre
: Fantasy, adventure. It’s more of a fantasy book because of all the spells, jinxes and charms they cast. But it is also an adventure, because Harry Potter has another quest to get The Prophecy before Voldemort does. 5 : Number of points you get for this book

: Chronological, the story continues just like any other story. But in this Harry Potter book the events are even more sinister then ever before, so there are many flashbacks referring to past events. 9 : Describe story climax

: In the end when Harry, Ron, Hermione, Neville, Luna and Ginny are in the Department of Mysteries of the Ministry of Magic searching for Harry’s godfather Sirius. They do not find him, but they do find a group of Death Eaters which they battle with. 10 : Open or closed end
: A bit between them. The story is closed because The Prophecy has been destroyed and Voldemort has been seen by the Minister of Magic himself so now the entire wizard world knows. There is no hiding for him now. 11 : Explanation of book title
: The Order of the Phoenix is a group of people. People that wish that Voldemort and his followers would just go away; unfortunately it doesn’t work so they must do secret missions. 12 : Describe the most interesting part of the book
: In the end. When Harry is in the Headmasters office of Dumbledore and discovers the reason why he could defeat Voldemort when he was a baby. Here is a little sample of it. Dumbledore lowered his hands and surveyed Harry through his half-moon glasses. ‘It is time.’ He said, ‘for me to tell you what I should have told you five years ago, Harry. Please sit down. I am going to tell you everything.’ 13 : Describe the principal character(s): appearance, character, function in the story, etc) 13 : Harry Potter: A boy at the age of 15 years old is about to start the fifth year on the school Hogwarts. This is one of his most important school years when he must score many OWLs if he wants to become an Auror. (An Auror hunts dark wizards) he is very determined to score as many OWLs as he can and to get rid of Professor Umbridge. Ron Weasley: Also a boy of 15 year old and also in the fifth year on the school Hogwarts. He is a good friend of Harry and Hermione and together they go through dozens of adventures. In this part of the story Ron qualifies himself to be Keeper of the Gryffindor Quidditch House team! Hermione Granger: A muggle-born. She is a girl of 15 years old and also attends Hogwarts. Her friends Harry and Ron gave her a lot or problems during her study time. She was supposed to study for Herbology and then she has to help Ron with his problems etc. Neville Longbottom: Just like Harry, Neville also lost both of his parents. They may still be alive but they don’t recognise him. When Bellatrix Lestrange casted one of The Unforgivable Curses (The Crucio Curse) to much they lost their mind. And just like Harry he is part of The Prophecy... Luna Lovegood: Also known as ‘Loony’ Lovegood she helps Harry and his friends with many things. She has one thing in common with Harry and Neville, and that is she also looked at death in the eye once and now she can see Thestrals (Animals that can only be seen by people who have looked at death.) Professor Dolores Umbridge: As a new Defence against the Dark Arts Teacher she didn’t look to bad at the beginning. But after their first lesson Harry found out that she was a filthy old ‘hag’. She was send by the Ministry to prevent that Dumbledore ‘trains’ his students for unknown purposes against him. And she even managed to expel Dumbledore and took his place as Headmaster (in her case Headmistress). Sirius Black: Searched by the Ministry of Magic for a mass murder he didn’t commit, he is also the godfather of Harry. He loves him very much and would do anything to help him. He is a member of the Order of the Phoenix and provided them with a headquarters. Professor Severus Snape: As teacher Potions and Head of Slytherin House he isn’t really famous on Hogwarts. He is trying to become Defence against the Dark Arts teacher for many years but he keeps failing the tests. He is also a member of the Order of the Phoenix. Because Harry is having strange dreams about something (The Prophecy) he is ordered by Dumbledore to teach him Occlumeny (the ability to close you mind). Professor Albus Dumbledore: As Headmaster of Hogwarts and being the most powerful wizard in the world he has quite a reputation. He ignores Harry throughout the school year for unknown reasons. 14 : Place where story is set
: The house of the Dursleys, Grimmauld Place, The Ministry of Magic, Diagon Alley, St Mungo’s Hospital, Hogwarts, The Forbidden Forest, Platform 9¾ and of course the Department of Mysteries. 15 : Your opinion on principal characters
: Harry is just like usual one of the best wizards. He survived Voldemort many times and even saved the school for a dreadful end. Ron and Hermione are sometimes a real pain in the... well you know what. Neville, Luna and Ginny are surprisingly brave, especially Neville. He had too much courage and almost died in an attempt to save Harry. 16 : Your opinion on the way the story finishes
: A good ending. Finally the Dursleys get a warning for mistreating Harry that much. And I can’t wait for the next book! 17 : Your opinion on the book as a whole
: Compared with the other books, this part is the most dreadful story every written by J.K. Rowling. The world gets darker than ever and Harry is blaming himself for everything that happens to him. “Why did they chose me for this?! Why is this happening to me?!!!” 18 : What have you done with the book? A new cover for the book (see cover of this report)
