I chose the book because I have read it in Dutch but I want to read it in de original state. I have read it before and I know the story but I like it in English more. summary This book is about Harry Potter. Harry Potter lives with is aunt ant uncle and they aren’t nice and Harry is happy that he can begin at his fourth year of (Hogwarts a wizard school). Before his school starts Harry goes with his best friend Ron and his family to the Quidditch world cup. Back at school there’s a surprise the triwizzard tournament will be organized on Hogwarts. The triwizzard tournament is a tournament between three wizard schools and it’s a very spectacular event. Everyone who wants to join the tournament has to put his or her name in the goblet of fire and that should chose three students each from a different school. But when the goblet of fire has chosen tree names. (Each school one) there comes another name out the fire and Harry has to join the tournament as the fourth participant. The tournament takes places the whole year and Harry’s first challenge is a dragon he has to steal a egg from a living dragon. Harry’s next challenge is that he has to save is friend Ron from the bottom of the lake. Harry also fulfills this challenge. The last challenge is a maze and in this maze are a lot of magical obstacles. In the middle of the maze there is a trophy and Harry arrives there at the same time as Cedric. They touch the trophy on the same time and it’s a portkey (a connection between two places). When Harry and Cedric open their eyes they are on a graveyard and then there’s a flash of green light and Cedric is dead he is killed by Peter Pippeling he helps the dark lord Voldemort to create a new body and he needs Harry’s blood when lord Voldemort has his new body he wants to kill Harry in a duel but Harry escapes and takes the body of Cedric back to Hogwarts there is a teacher mad eye moody who takes Harry to his office. He asks Harry a lot of weird questions and he wants to kill Harry but then Dumbledore appears and he catches mad eye moody. Then comes clear that he is not the real mad eye moody but a death eater (a follower of lord Voldemort) and he is the one that turned the trophy into a portkey to the graveyard. When Harry is In the hospital he earns 1000 galleons (the first price of the triwizzard tournament) he doesn’t want it and he gives it to Fred and George Weasley for there joke shop. And then it’s the end of his school year and he goes back again to his aunt and uncle
I think the climax of the story is when Harry is on the graveyard and Voldemort turns back. I think that’s the climax of the story because it is very important in the book and expect it because all the Harry potter novels are about Harry and lord Voldemort. But there is lord Voldemort a ghost and no he has a body.
The main characters: Harry potter: he is a round character and he always surprises you and in this book he is an adolescent and you can see this. Ron Weasley: he is Harry’s best friend he is a round character and he is my favorite character because he is very funny. Hermione Granger: she also is a round character. She is a very smart girl. And she is a very good friend of Harry and Ron. I like the main characters because you can recognize you in them because they are very normal persons (the only thing is that they are wizards) and that’s what I like of this book. You can recognize yourself in it, but also you know it is not true. Personal experience The incident that I remember the best is the death of Cedric because I didn’t expect it
Ron reminds me of a friend because there characters are exactly the same
The quarrel between Harry and Ron because I have got a quarrel whit someone and that was exactly the same both we are very obstinate. I think it’s a very god book and I think it’s easy to read and very addictive
