the mobile telephone
I’m going to tell something about the mobile telephone. First I’ll tell something about the invention off the telephone, then something about the history of the mobile telephone. The rest of my presentation is about the functions and use of a mobile telephone.
In 1876 Alexander Graham Bell invented the telephone. This invention made it possible to talk to each other trough a wire. Thanks to some other inventions it became possible to reach out over larger distances. The first half automatically operating telephone exchange in the Netherlands was build in Amsterdam around 1911. The Netherlands were second of Europe with an entirely automated telephone network.
The mobile telephone brings us advantages and disadvantages. Some advantages for the consumers are that they are easy in use and relatively cheap attainable all over the world. Disadvantages can be noise pollution or infringement of privacy.
At this moment the mobile telephone has developed into many functions, one of them is the S.M.S.-function. S.M.S. is a shortening of short message service. With S.M.S. you can send someone a message with a maximum of about 160 signs. The coasts of one S.M.S. can built up to 20 eurocent, while it is a technically easy proceeding. The G.S.M. has more functions, like a telephone book, a clock, a calendar, a alarm clock, several ringing tones, on some telephones even polarfonar ringing tones, backgrounds, games, tremble-function, download possibility’s, radio, G.P.S., internet, voice-recorder, infra-red light and some of them even have a digital camera built inside.
