These photographs were during Koningsnacht, capturing the raw energy of a crowd in motion. The theme of new energy is explored not through machines or technology, but through people, the most organic source of energy there is.
Movement is at the heart of every frame. Confetti explodes through the air, bodies collide, lights blur and bleed into the night. Nothing is still. The energy in these images is collective, it doesn't belong to one person, but to everyone present at once, feeding off each other in a kind of human electrical current. These images try to capture that moment when individual energy becomes something much larger than itself unpredictable and alive.
