For me new energy is taking all the bad energy you had in the past and starting fresh, that is why a chose to photograph the Sasuke Inari shrine in Kamakura Japan. This shrine signifies victory, success and the fulfillment of destiny.
The Zenko (white fox) is the sacred messanger of the shrine. It symbolizes prosperity specifically in agriculture (rice) and, in modern times, business success and academic achievement.
In Japanese culture red describes prosperity, vitality, passion and energy. Red is believed to repel bad luck and evil.
Red is also used to celebrate and to signify strength and authority, that is why it is commonly used at gates in shrines. This is new energy for me.
