That means that the story would be in the 20th Century. Between 2002 and 2011.

I think the story takes about 2 months.
The weather is changing from rain to snow to sunny days. And Bella and Edward are having a relationship. You read about this relationship from the beginning when they meet each other
till a very strong love relationship. And you won’t build a relationship so strong in such a little time. But it isn’t much time either because there is a accurate description of the happenings in the story.

The biggest part of the story takes place in Forks, Washington in the USA.
There are a couple other town where Bella goes to like Phoenix, La Push and Port ngeles.
Forks is a small town and it rains more here than any other place in the USA. Everything in Forks is green: the trees, their trunks covered with moss, their branches hanging with a canopy of it and the ground covered with ferns. Bella says it’s an alien planet but she can’t deny it’s beautiful.
La Push is located on the beach and the weather is better there than in Forks. But it’s also green, just like Forks and beautiful.

Bella lives in Forks with her father. They are not very rich. They have an old and normal sized house. Charlie bought her a secondhand car, so that points also on the fact that they’re not really rich, but they can afford a (second) car, so he is also not poor. Charlie is a policeman. So he has an education. And Bella is also good at high school.
Unlike Bella, Edward is very rich. His father has earned a lot of money though the years with being a doctor. They live in a big and open house just outside Forks. They have a couple cars. Also expensive ones like the car of Rosalie. A M3, BMW.
Quote: ’a crowd of people, all boys were surrounding it. Then I realized they weren’t
surrounding the Volvo, they were actually circled around Rosalie’s red convertible,
unmistakable lust in their eyes.’

Plot
Introduction:
Bella moves from Phoenix to Forks, it rains here more than in any other place of the USA and in first instance she doesn’t like to life there. But then she meets this really strange but beautiful boy and his beautiful family.

Main part:
Bella finds out that the beautiful boy and his family are vampire’s. But she is not afraid of them and she falls in love with the boy. On the first family trip with the Cullens she meets unexpected 3 other vampire’s. one of them is a tracker and he lures Bella to her old Mirror room where he tries to kill her.

Conclusion:
Edward and his family are just in time to safe Bella’s life. They take first aid there and take her then to the hospital. Edward promised her he would never leave her as long as it makes her happy.

Characters
(Isa)Bella Swan:
She’s ivory-skinned with bleu eyes and red hair. She’s slender but not athletic, contrary, she’s really clumsy. She falls in love with the vampire boy, Edward Cullen and becomes the victim of a tracker. She’s not a person he is afraid quickly. Because she never shows really that she’s scared of Edward and when the boys in Port Angeles wanted to hurt her she still could think brightly. She is stubborn. She doesn’t want to hear that hanging out with Edward is really dangerous.
I think this is a main character because the whole story is about her life. She’s the one who tells the story and you can read how she feels, what she thinks etc.
Quote: ‘’ Bella,’’ he said again, ‘’ Charlie is one of my best friends.’’ ‘’Yes’’ He spoke each word carefully in his rumbling voice. ‘’ I noticed you’ve been spending time with one of the Cullens.’’ ‘’Yes, ‘’ I repeated curtly. His eyes narrowed. ‘’ Maybe it’s non of my business, but I don’t think that is such a good idea.’’ ‘’ You’re right,’’ I agreed. ‘’ It is none of your business.’’

Edward Cullen:
Lanky, less bulky as his brother Emmet who is big and muscled. He has untidy, bronze-colored hair and looks more boyish than his brothers. His skin is really pale, but he’s a really handsome boy. He smells really good and he has a beautiful voice. He is faster than the most of the other vampire’s and he is incredible strong and his eyes change color. When he’s thirsty, his eyes are dark and red but when he’s not thirsty his eyes are ocher colored.
Edward is the strange beautiful boy were Bella falls in love with. He knows it’s better not to be with her, but for the first time in his vampire life (he’s about 109 years old) is he in love. The people who doesn’t know he’s a vampire, thinks he’s 17 years old. Edward has a really good self-control but a bit selfish because he knows he should stay away from her, but he doesn’t do that.
I think this is a main character because He is the boy were it’s all about in Bella’s life and you get to know him very good.
Quote: ‘’ I should have made our alcoholic a heroin addict instead.’’ ‘’ So what you’re saying is, I’m your brand of heroin?’’ I teased, trying to lighten the mood. He smiled swiftly, seeming to appreciate my effort. ‘’Yes, you are exactly my brand of heroin.’’
(this points to a really good self-control)

The meaning of this book:
That you’ll have to fight for the things and people you love. You’ll have to take risks in your life and make difficult choices. Sometimes it ends good but it could also end wrong. But don’t give up easily, fight for what you want. because there will be a way to make it truth.
The writer wrote this story I think because she wants to show that nothing is impossible. She writes about a dangerous love, a love nobody could imagine but they fight for it. Edward made the wrong choice to take Bella to the baseball game and Bella made the wrong choice to go the Mirror room, alone, when nobody knew what she wanted to do. But eventually it ends good. And Bella gets hurt, but that’s also in real life. You make wrong choices, you get hurt, but most of the times it ends good. The writer showed this message in a physical way. But you could mentally also get hurt.

Your opinion
I think Billy Black is a sympathetic man. He really want the best for Bella and is really
concerned about her.
Quote: ‘‘have a good night.’ His eyes shifted to mine, and his smile disappeared.
‘you take care, Bella, ‘ he added seriously. ‘

Another sympathetic character is Esme Cullen. She is really kind for everybody. She’s the mother figure in the story and she shows love to everybody.
Quote: ‘’ that’s why I’m so happy that he’s found you, dear.’ The endearment sounded very natural on her lips. ‘ he’s been the odd man for far too long; it’s hurt me to see him alone.’ ‘You don’t mind then?’ I asked, hesitant again. ‘that I’m… all wrong for him?’ ‘No.’ She was thoughtful. ‘You’re what he wants. It will work out, somehow.’’

I think James is a unsympathetic character because he only thinks about himself and
not about the feeling of other people. He Knows that Edward loves a human girl and he wants to kill her because she’s an human. And also because when he tries to kill her he recorded it on tape so he would make Edward extra mad at him.
Quote: “now repeat after me, and do try to sound natural. Please say, ‘‘No, Mom, stay where you are.’’ ‘’No, Mom, stay where you are.’’ My voice was barely more than whisper. “ I can see this is going to be difficult.’’ The voice was amused, still light and friendly.

Another unsympathetic character is Rosalie Cullen. She doesn’t want Bella to know what she and her family are vampire’s and that’s the reason why she isn’t kind to Bella. She is selfish if it comes to that point because she only thinks about herself and not about what her brother makes him happy.
Quote: ‘’ Get her upstairs and trade clothes,’’ Edward commended. She stared back at him with lived disbelief. ‘’Why should I?’’ She hissed. ‘’ What is she to me? Except menace – a danger you’ve chosen to inflict all of us.’’

I felt tension, not afraid, but I was really curious of what would come when Bella
meet James in the mirror room and is busy with killing her.
Quote: And then something smashed into my face, throwing me back into the broken mirrors. Over the pain of my leg I felt the sharp rip across my scalp where the glass cut into it. And then the warm wetness began to speed trough my hair with alarming speed. I could feel it soaking the shoulder of my shirt, hear it dripping on the wood below. The smell of it twisted my stomach.

Right after that, when I still hoped that Edward would come to safe her, I was sad. Because she thought she would die, And so did I. There was nothing to safe her anymore and she already had give it up.
Quote: Let it be quick now, was all I could hope as the flow of blood from my head sucked my consciousness away with it. My eyes were closing. I heard, as if from underwater, the final growl of the hunter. I could see, through the long tunnels my eyes had become, his dark shape coming toward me. With my last effort, my hand instinctively raised to protect my face. My eyes closed, and I drifted.

’‘And so the lion fell in love with the lamb…’’ he murmured.
I looked away, hiding my eyes as I thrilled tot the word.
‘’ what a stupid lamb, ‘’ I sighed.
‘’ what a sick, masochistic lion.’’
He stared into the shadowy forest for al long moment, and I wondered where his thoughts had taken him.

This is the beginning of the relationship between Bella and Edward. They tell how the
relationship between them is actually.
This part is after that he showed that she should be afraid of him, because he is possible to kill her every second of the day and there’s nothing she could do about it.

I like this part so much because there relationship, and that’s were the story goes about, is so well described. I really like this comparison of the lion and the lamb. And both are it very symbolic animals.

Yes, she certainly did. Because you see in the whole story the mistakes that they
make, but eventually it ends good. Because they fight for it. It’s a very clear message.
To use physical examples. So you see the effect of it really clear. And although, the decisions that they have to make aren’t decisions that we’ll ever have to make, you still can compare it to your own daily life, what makes it recognizable.
Yes, this message makes me believe in myself. Because everybody has there own dreams, but you’ll never make it truth if you don’t fight for it.

Do you believe in God?
There are a lot of things that you can compare with religion. In the front of the books stands a text of genesis. And also things in the book, statement, that you could say , maybe there a part of the inspiration is from the bible.

Where does your inspiration come from?
It’s amazing how she can tell everything so perfect. I’ve read also the second and third part of the story and everything is so perfectly connected. It’s like a fantasy world that takes place in the real world.

Do you want to live in this world or the world you talk about in your story with vampire’s and werewolves etc.?
Her world is an more dangerous world for humans, but it is also a beautiful world and it has something that makes me want to live there. So I wonder if she had the choice, what she wants.

Summery per chapter
Chapter 1
Bella moves from Phoenix to Forks so she can live with her father. When she arrives het father gives her a welcome present, a red truck. She was planning to buy a car when she has enough money, so it was a really nice surprise. Charlie, Bella’s father, bought the truck from an old friend of him, Billy Black, who is an invalid now. The next day Bella goes to school. She really doesn’t look forward to it. Al the new people, much less then her old school, but if she didn’t fit in there, why should she fit in here? And the place, Forks, she always hated it. It always rains in Forks and Phoenix is always sunny. But when she arrives at school a couple of people introduces themselves and everybody is curious to her. During the lunch a special group of kids catches her eyes. She asks Jessica, a classmate, who they are. Jessica tells her that the young Mr. Cullen adopted the 5 kids with his beautiful wife. Bella is stunned by the gorgeous faces of the teenagers. Especially one of the teenagers, a boy, named Edward. She sits next to him by biology, but he act really strange. After school she meets him in a separate room. He is trying to change his biology class to another time in his schedule. But when she walks in, it doesn’t matter anymore and he gets out of that room as quick as possible. When she drives home she fights for the tears burning in her eyes.

Chapter 2
The second day that she went to school isn’t as bad as the first. She recognize some of the people and it doesn’t rain. But then she discovered that Edward isn’t at school and she gets the feeling that it is because of her. When she comes home she asks Charlie about the Cullen Family and he is really positive about them. The rest of the week is Edward also not on school but after the weekend, on Monday, he’s back. He sits with the four other gorgeous teenagers on the same lunch table as always. She walks really nervous to her place in the canteen and tries to look inconspicuous to Edward. When Jessica asks where she is looking at, Edward looks at her. After lunch she goes to biology. The task is to do a test together with your group mate. So she have to work together with Edward. But his time he is very polite. He starts a normal conversation with her and they work together on the test. When Edward moves the microscope she feels the ice cold skin of Edward. It isn’t that strange because it snows outside and everybody is throwing snowballs to each other. But there is another thing that is striking her. His dark, red eyes are chanced into ocher colored eyes. When the bell rings Edward is really fast away. Bella walks to her car and Mike, another new friend of her asks if she want to come on a trip to La Push next week. They are planning to go to the beach and Mike, who has a crush on her, knows she likes the sun and the beach.

Chapter 3
The next day when Bella wakes up she see’s that it has snowed pretty much. And because of the melted snow of yesterday is has to be really glassy. She decides to hurry up so she could drive slowly. When she arrives at school it’s early. She looks at her tires and see’s the snow chains that her father put around her tires. At that moment a car is grinding her way. The next moment somebody pushes het down on the cold floor. Edward has bent himself around Bella and he keeps the car back with his shoulder. Everybody looks in disgust to what just had happened. People are calling 911 and are screaming. Bella looks confused to Edward. How could he come her so fast and hold the car back with his shoulder? But Edward doesn’t want to answer that question. Tyler, the driver of the van, and Bella are placed in the ambulance who drives them to the hospital. Bella Is examined by Doctor Cullen, Edwards father. If Bella convinced the people she is absolutely fine she asks again to Edward how he could be there so fast and how he hold the van back. But he react irritated that she should be graceful he saved her and that she probably saw things that didn’t happened because she hit her head.

Chapter 4
the days after the accident are uncomfortable between Bella and Edward. Eric and Mike, who both have a crush on Bella are mad at Tyler and they are both trying to impressive Bella after Edward saved her. For the upcoming spring ball Jessica asks Mike with her, it’s girls choice, but Mike who actually wants to go with Bella says he have to think about it. So the next day when Jessica isn’t around, Mike asks Bella to the ball. Bella tells him that she’s out of town as excuse so she doesn’t have to refuse him. With that answer Mike calls Jessica and tells her he will go with her to the ball. Later that day, Eric asks Bella also to the spring ball. With the same excuse she refuses the invitation of Eric. After school she almost run to her car so she can go home. When she sits in het car she have to wait for Edward who is waiting for his family in front of her. After her sits Tayler is his car. He comes out and he also ask her to the spring ball. Annoyed answered she that she is out of town and she won’t go to the dance. Disappointed walks Tyler away and Bella see’s Edward smiling in his car. It’s like he hears all of the three invitations of the day.
Next day Edward runs to Bella and he walks beside her. ‘Can I ask you something?’ ‘Not again’ thinks Bella. But Edward is going to ask something else. He asks if he can give her a lift to Seattle, were she is planning to go that Saturday. She takes the offer but Edward doesn’t look happy. ‘You shouldn’t want to be with me, it’s better if we’re not friends.’ And Edward walks away. Bella stays confused behind.

Chapter 5
Bella is in the canteen on a table with her friends. She’s daydreaming about the unreal offer of Edward yesterday when Jessica offense her and tells her Edward is looking at her. She looks back in Edward direction who isn’t sitting with his family this time. He points at a chair in front of him. Bella stands up and walks to the chair and sits down. Bella knows he’s not just an human and she is telling Edward one of her theories about a radioactive spider. Edward who promised not to laugh, smiles and tells she isn’t even close. After the break Edward tells Bella he isn’t going to biology today so Bella runs alone to biology so she won’t be to late. Today they will be testing there blood. Mike pricks whit a needle in his finger and he drips a drip of blood on a piece of paper. When Bella see’s and smells the blood she’s getting to feel dizzy and before she can past out Mike helps her to the first aid in there school. On the wing they meet Edward and he helps her further. The nurse helps her and before the next is brought in are they already gone.

Chapter 6
Nowadays Bella sits with Edward during the lunch. Her friends doesn’t like she is hanging around with him so much, especially Lauren. But still they want her to go with them to La Push. The drive with 2 vans to the beach and when they get there they make a big campfire. When they sat down for a while somebody suggest to go to the tide pools. Bella remembers them from when she was a little girl and she goes with them. Another part of the group stays by the campfire. When they come back another group of people is sitting down the campfire with a the other part of there group. Together they eat something and then another group is going to the tide pools. The other people split in groups of 2,3 people and are going to walk along the beach. Bella stays by the campfire and she meets Jacob there. He introduces himself as the son of Billy Black, the old friend of her dad. Lauren who is jealous that Bella always get the attention of the boys makes a comment about Edward. ‘regrettable the Cullen isn’t here, Bella!’ When the oldest one of the new group tells her that the Cullen’s don’t come her, Bella hears suspicion in his voice. Bella wants to know why and she asks Jacob to come with her to walk along the beach. They walk across the beach and Bella asks why the Cullen’s don’t come her. Jacob laughs and tells her an old legend, where he doesn’t believe in. a story about ‘the cold ones’. They came to this place a long time ago and Carlisle Cullen made a truce with my grandfather that if the stay off our lands, we would leave them alone. My grandfather was a werewolf and the cold ones are the only enemies of the werewolves. ‘What are those cold ones?’ asked Bella curious. ‘the are blood drinkers, vampire’s.’ answered Jacob. That means that Edward would be a vampire.

Chapter 7
Belle wakes up scared by a nightmare. She dreamt of Mike and Jacob screaming to her she should run away. Then Jacob chances in a werewolf and Edward appears. He asks her very gentle to come to him, but Mike is still screaming she should run away and Jacob obviously don’t want her to come over to Edward and he is grouching to Edward.
It’s early in the morning and Bella puts the computer on. In the mean time she walks downstairs and makes herself a breakfast. After breakfast she walks upstairs, back tot the computer and she start the internet. she types the word ‘vampire’ in and she get a whole list of vampire sites. She clicks on one of the sites, ‘vampires A-Z’. She reads on the site about different kind of vampires and features about vampires. She reads the list of features: The speed, the power, the beauty, the pale skin and eyes that change color. And then the things that Jacob said: the only enemies of the werewolves, the cold skin and the immortality.
Almost everything corresponded with Edward.
Bella takes het jacket and walks outside, the forest in. She walks further and further and after a while she sits down on the floor against a tree. She thinks about al the possibilities of what Edward could be.
The next day that she wakes up the sun is shining. With a good feeling she frame of mind she goes to school. But whole day long and the next day, they aren’t at school. But she get distracted by Jessica who is talking about he upcoming dance and about the trip to Port Angeles with Angela, Lauren and herself to buy some new dresses and accessories. ‘do you like to come also with us? So you can approve the dresses?’ asks Jessica. Bella takes the offer, it’s good to make some fun, to get distracted so she don’t have to think about Edward.

Chapter 8
Together with Jessica and Angela is she going to Port Angeles. Lauren had another appointment , so she had to cancel this trip. They drive right away to the big stores in Port Angeles. Angela and Jessica find out 2 beautiful dresses and accessories. When they are done with shopping for the dance is it to early for dinner. Bella uses this time to go to a bookstore in Port Angeles and Jessica and Angela are going to the bay. On Bella’s way back, she get chased by 4 guys, a bit older then she is. Exactly on the point there’s no way to go, Edward is there in his silver Volvo and tells Bella to get in. on the wing Bella is trying to calm Edward down because otherwise he will go back and it could end bad for those guys.
When they arrive at the restaurant Angela and Jessica have already eaten. And because Bella still needs to eat, is she going with Edward so Angela and Jessica can go home. It the restaurant Edward and Bella talk about how Edward knew where she was and about his special sense. He can read peoples minds, except Bella’s mind. And that means he doesn’t know about her new theory. So she tells him she thinks he’s a vampire.

Chapter 9
Bella and Edward are sitting in the car and Bella is telling him about her vampire theory. She’s afraid he gets angry but he doesn’t get angry but listens very carefully. She tells him about the trip to La Push and about the legends that Jacob had told her. Edward doesn’t admit right away he’s a vampire, but after a while, when he answers more questions it gets more clear, that he is a vampire. Bella isn’t afraid, contrary, she tells she doesn’t want to life without him. But that doesn’t make Edward happy. He knows she should be afraid of him and that it’s for the best that they aren’t friends. But another part of him loves her so much, that he can’t let her go.

Chapter 10
The next day Edward stands for her house, waiting for her so they could drive together to school. When they arrive at school people are staring at her, just like the first day on this school. By trig Bella tells everything about the night before to Jessica. Not it much details, because they talked about the vampire thing almost al night, but she tells about he way she feels. That she probably likes him more, than he likes her. And another thing that notice her was that he didn’t had any attention for the beautiful waitress. Jessica is surprised: ‘wow, Edward Cullen.’
During the lunch Edward and Bella are sitting together at a table again. Edward is a bit annoyed because Bella said that she probably likes him more than that he likes her. So he’s trying to convince her that he definitely likes her more than that she likes him.
And he also ask her if she really want to go to Seattle on the Saturday of the dance, because he wants to show her why he can’t be outside when the sun shines. Bella is really curious about that, so she agree with him and they make a plan, so Charlie won’t know she is not alone.

Chapter 11
Bella and Edward get to know each other better, day by day. After all the questions Bella asked to Edward, Edward asks questions to Bella. Simple questions, like ‘what’s your favorite color?’ During Biology they have to watch a movie, the lights go out and there is a strange tension between them. When the lights go on again, are the both sitting with there arms crossed and there hands balling into fists. The next day it’s the same as the day before. Edward picks Bella up for school, they lunch together and the same strange tension in biology when the lights are out. And just like the day before, Edward brings Bella home. But this time they sit together for a long time in the car, in front of Bella’s house. Charlie isn’t home yet and when he would come home, Edward would leave. But before Charlie is home, Billy Black passes by. He see’s Edward driving away. Billy black is an Quileute, and he believes in the old legends, so he knows Edward is an vampire.

Chapter 12
Billy and Jacob passes by to see a baseball game. Bella feels compelled to stay with them so Billy won’t say anything about Edward. Jacob is talking to Bella, but she doesn’t really listening. She listens to the conversation between Billy and Charlie. When the game has ended Billy and Jacob left. Billy had told her to take care of her self. That she should be careful. After that Bella went to bed immediately. In the morning Edward is taking her to school again. But at school he remembers that Alice and he would go hunting when school ended and he couldn’t bring Bella home. But he promise that Bella’s car is on the parking place with the keys in the ignition so she don’t have to walk. And as he promised, when she wants to go home, the car is standing on the parking place. In the evening Bella takes sleeping pills so she won’t be tired tomorrow when Edward takes her to a special place where he will show himself in the sun. When she wakes up she makes herself ready to go with Edward, wherever he takes her. He takes her in the to forest. They have to walk 5mile, but Bella is a bit gawky, so it takes the whole morning to come to the place where Edward really wanted to take her. Nobody knows that she’s with Edward today. She told everybody she would do the laundry and some homework. That pisses Edward off. ‘I could kill you really easy if I just lose my self for one second! Nobody will know I’ve killed you.’ But it doesn’t makes him want to go back home. He walks further and then they are on the place he wanted to come and he stepped into the sunlight.

Chapter 13
Edward steps in the sunlight and his skin seems to change in thousands little diamonds. He lies down on the open place in the forest. Bella looks admired at his skin. She sits down, next to him, and for the first time she touches him. She slides with her fingers over his cold skin and she holds his hand. But suddenly Edward is gone. He stands a couple meters away and he talks. ‘I’m the worlds best predator, aren’t I? everything about me invites you in. My voice, my face, even my smell. As if I need any of that! As if you could outrun me, as if you could fight me off.’ Shocked looks Bella how he returns to her and sits down again. ‘Don’t be afraid.’ Says Edward ’Please forgive me.’ He explains that she’s like a brand of heroine for a drug addict. Her smell temps him so much. Her smell was the reason that the first time he met her he had to get away from her. Because it was so tempting he didn’t wanted to be with her and he went to Alaska to stay with another family. But he thought it was weak, and not fair to his own family, so he went back. After that he told her this, she could understand why he acted so strange the first day at school.
When it started to get dark they went home. But because it will take pretty long to walk back home, takes Edward her on his back and he runs to the car, parked at the edge. When they arrive at the car Bella looks pale and she can’t stand on her legs. She have to sit down, so she won’t throw up. After a while, when Bella feels a lot better, Edward asked her I f he could try something out. Bella agreed with him and Edward turns his face to Bella. He kisses her softly and careful. Bella react a bit to wild and Edward have to push her face away. But they had there first kiss.

Chapter 14
Edward brings Bella home and Bella asks if he want to come in. He takes the offer and he walks with Bella to the kitchen. They sit together on the table and Bella makes her dinner ready. When Edward hears that Charlie is almost home he disappears without telling Bella where he’s waiting for her.
Charlie sits down with Bella and together they eat dinner. When Bella’s done with the dishes she walks quickly upstairs and tells Charlie she’s going to sleep and won’t go anywhere tonight. When she looks out the window of her room Edward stands unexpected behind her. Gladly Bella turns around and gives him a hug. Then she goes to the bathroom to put her pajamas on and she makes her hair wet. She walks down and says another time good night to Charlie so he definitely knows she’s not going anywhere tonight, so he won’t have to come upstairs to check it. Depleted Bella lays down with Edward on her bed. They talk about jealously that Edward feels when Charlie begins about Mike Newton. And the jealously that Bella feels when she knew that actually the beautiful Rosalie was meant to be Edwards lover. Thought there was never anything between them. Edward tells how there family is arose and the personally special gifts.

Chapter 15
The next morning Bella wakes up she realized what happened the night before, but Edward isn’t laying down next to her. She jumps up and then she see’s Edward sitting in her chair in her room. She almost runs to him and go sit on his lap. After talking a bit they walk downstairs. Charlie is already gone so Bella can have breakfast with Edward without Charlie being around. It’s quiet for a moment but then Edward suggest to meet his family today. Bella is afraid his family won’t like her, because she’s a human. But Edward reassured her that she doesn’t have to be afraid for that. So after she prepared herself, she comes with Edward to his big and remote house. She steps inside and she see’s Carlisle and Esme standing in the lobby. They walk elegant to Bella and they introduce themselves. Before his parent can answer on the question where Alice and Jasper are, they appear on the top of the stairs. Alice runs to Bella and gives her a hug and kiss, ‘’Hi Bella!’’ says Alice happy. Jasper stays on the top of the stairs and introduces himself there. After Edward played piano for Bella, his family leaves them alone. Bella asks where Emmet and Rosalie are. Edward tells her that Rosalie thinks she’s a danger for the family and that she doesn’t like that a human knows what she is. And Emmet thinks that it’s irresponsible what he’s doing, he speaks from experience. But he has nothing against Bella. They walk through the house and Edward points where everything is. Bella stops when they arrive a wooden cross. She touch the cross carefully, ‘’ how old is it and why is it here?’’ asks Bella. ‘It’s about 350 years old. The father of Carlisle was a pastor, and Carlisle took it as a memory. His father persecuted witches and vampires. But when Carlisle succeeded he didn’t believed in demons. But he found out that a group of vampires lived in there village and he went with a group citizens at night to the center of the village to kill them. But instead of kill the vampires, the vampires killed two man and bit Carlisle. Carlisle hided himself in a cellar and three days later he was changed into a vampire.’ Bella listened carefully to Edwards story. As they walk further to another room Bella asks a lot of other questions and Edward takes her to his father’s study room.

Chapter 16
They walk into Carlisle’s Study room and Bella see’s everywhere books and paintings around her. To every painting belongs a different story. Edward asks his father to tell something about his past, but he has to go to work and he tells Edward he can tell it also, because he knows the story’s just as well as he does. Edward starts telling the story, ‘after he knew what he became, he went to the end of the world so he wouldn’t kill people. He tried to kill himself in every single possibility. He didn’t eat so he would starve. But it didn’t worked. He lived in the mountains in a tent and when a deer came by he drunk the blood of the animal. He felt stronger after he drunk the animals blood. So he decided to drink animals blood instead of human blood and he went back to the humanity to study. He lived a while with another vampire family in Italy, but they did drunk human blood, so he decided to go. He studied more and more and also for doctor. After all those years he learnt to resist human blood and now he can do what he loves the most. But he felt lonely, so when in the 19th century the Spanish flu broke out, he found me. I wouldn’t survive the flu and my parent died already, so he changed me, so he wouldn’t be lonely anymore. But I couldn’t resist human blood in my first decennia and I left Carlisle. But I realized after a while I didn’t want to be a monster, so I returned to Carlisle. And when I came back, he changed Esme also into a vampire.

Chapter 17
After all the stories at Edwards house, brings Edward Bella home. When they arrive they see Billy and Jacob standing before the door but nobody is home. Bella get out of the car and Edward drives away. She let them in and she puts the fish that Billy brought for Charlie in the freezer. When Jacob is not around for a moment Billy tells Bella she should stay away from Edward, that it isn’t safe to be around him. But Bella doesn’t want to know anything about that and before Charlie came home, Billy and Jacob left the house. At dinner Bella tells about Edward. She tells Charlie it’s her boyfriend and he and his family invited her to play baseball tonight with them. Surprised looks Charlie to Bella. First concerned but then happy for her. When Edward comes to pick Bella up he first comes in to meet Charlie. Charlie tells Edward he have to be good for her and quickly tells Edward that she will be back home on time. With a good feeling let Charlie let them leave the house. They drive to the edge and the last piece of the trip takes Edward Bella on his back. When they arrive to the enormous open lawn. Together with Esme Bella looks at the game, but doesn’t play with them. It’s hard to see the ball for Bella because they hit the ball so hard. That’s the reason the only time the can play is when it’s storms. But suddenly stands Alice noiseless. ‘What is it?’ asks Carlisle quiet but concerned. ‘’The three vampires who were nearby heart us playing baseball and decided to come by to play with us.’ Shocked looks everybody to Bella. ‘’There’s no time to bring her home, they are to close.’’ Say Alice. They decide to continue the game and hope for the best.

Chapter 18
The three vampires appear at the edge and they introduce themselves. Carlisle introduces his family, included Bella. He tells they were actually wanted to stop playing baseball, but he invited them to come with them to there house. Everything seems to go good, but when they are at the point to leave James, one of the three vampires, smells Bella’s smell. He wants to attack but Edward shows him his teeth and he know he has to wait. Carlisle take them home and Bella get away with Edward, Bella and Alice. But Bella don’t want to leave Charlie home alone so she considers a plan so she wouldn’t leave Charlie without saying anything and so he is safe. With dislike turns Edward the car around and gives Bella 15 minutes to tell Charlie she’s leaving town and pack het belongings.

Chapter 19
Bella’s runs inside and tells Charlie she don’t want to stay in town because she broke up with Edward because she doesn’t want to live her the rest of her life. She runs out of the house with tears on her face and get in the car. Then they drive away to the house of Carlisle. There she’s changes clothes so her smell is blurred. The first one who leaves is Esme with Bella’s clothes on. Victoria, the female one of the three vampires, goes after her. Then Bella goes to the car with Alice and Jasper and James follows them so Carlisle, Emmet and Edward can follow him and kill him.

Chapter 20
Bella wakes up in a hotel in Phoenix were she stays a couple days or weeks if it’s necessary. Nobody called already, but that’s a good thins says Alice because everything is going as it should be. Bella talks with Alice about how you can change in a vampire because Edward doesn’t want to tell it to Bella. Alice tells that when a vampire bits you, a poison {spreads} in you body and when it reach your heart, the process has completed. Alice tells a couple of other things but suddenly she gets a new vision. She see’s a dark Mirror room and she draws it for Jasper and Bella so they can take look at the draw and they can tell if they recognize the place. Bella see’s it’s her old dance school. It’s in Phoenix and really close to her old house. A couple minutes later Carlisle calls and tell them they lost James and Rosalie and Esme are back home to keep an eye on Charlie. Also is Edward on his way to Phoenix to pick up Bella so they can hide somewhere else. After Carlisle’s call, calls Bella her mom who isn’t home. She leaves a message for her mom and a phone number for her mom witch she have to call when she hears the message.

Chapter 21
The phone rings and Alice answers the phone. She hears Renee’s (Bella’s mom) voice and she gives the phone to Bella. Bella tries to calm her down, but suddenly she hears James voice. He tell her to go to another room so Alice won’t know it’s him. He tells her she have to come alone to her mothers house where she will find a telephone number witch she have to call for a next location. When James hang up she invents a plan. She have to do this if she wants to save her moms life. The only possibility is on the airport when Edwards come to pick her up. When Bella walks in back to the room she does like nothings going on. She writes a note to Edward. She writes: ‘I’m sorry, but I have to do this! Don’t come after James, that’s what he want! I love you!’. She gives the note to Alice and tells her it’s for her mom and she asks if she could give it to her.

Chapter 22
Together with Alice and James leaves Bella the hotel room to the airport. The time is ticking by and Bella knows now is the only time. When Edward is here, she won’t get another change to get away. 20 minutes before Edward arrives she tells Jasper she want to have some breakfast and together they walk to a shop. on her way to the shop she sees a bathroom and she asks Jasper if she could go in there for a minute. He’s fine with that and waits for the door. When Bella is in the bathroom she runs out on the other side. The bathroom had 2 doors and she knew that. She runs to the elevator. When the doors open again she runs outside to a van who drives her to the cabs. She jumps out of the van and jumped in a cab. She gives the taxi driver extra money so he’ll drive as fast as he can to the other side of town to her old house. When she get there she see’s the telephone number and she calls it. She already new she had to come to the mirror room, but James didn’t have to know that. She runs as fast as she can to the mirror room around the corner. When she walks the mirror room in it’s dark. She hears her mothers voice and she walks further the room in. She sees a VCR in a closet and walks to it. On the screen is an old video of her and her mother who’s screaming she have to watch out. When she turns around she sees James. Then she realized her mother is save and she was trapped. James walks her into her way and with a big smile he tells her how easy this hunt has been. He also tells about that only one girl had ever escaped. Bella realized that that girl has to be Alice. Now James takes a video recorder and walks into her way, closer now. ‘This is for Edward, so he won’t have to miss a thing.’ Says James. He puts the video recorder down and then he grabbed Bella. He throws her to the mirror and the mirror breaks. He walks to Bella and she tries to get up. But he stands on her leg and a pain shrieks to her body. Then he grabs her again and throws her back to the mirror. She feels the glass into her body and a warm glow and sees the blood on her shirt. She close her eyes and she hopes it will be over soon.

Chapter 23
Bella thinks she’s dead when she hears the angelic voice of Edward. But when she feels the pain she knows this can’t be heaven. She hears Edward screaming but she can’t say a word. She can’t say her hand is burning and they have to put out the fire. After a couple minutes when she waked up again she can say a few words, and after a while they understand that James has bit her in her hand. Edward has to suck the poison out of Bella’s blood. He takes her hand and drinks her blood. When he no longer taste blood, he stops and the burning pain in her hand is gone. Carlisle offers her first aid and then they bring her to the hospital. She mumbled a couple things to Edward and asks him that it smells to gasoline, but then she falls asleep in his arms.

Chapter 24
When Bella opens her eyes again she find herself in the hospital with Edward right beside her. He tells her she have to say to her mother that when he, Carlisle and Alice came to tell her to come back home, she felt of 2 stairs through the glass when she came down to see Edward. Not much later her mother comes in and she is unbelievable happy to see Bella alive. ‘You never guess what happened to Phil this week! He signed a contract and we’ve bought a house in Jacksonville. You know the weather there is almost always sunny! And Phil doesn’t have to travel so much anymore know, so you can come live home with us!’ says Renee exited. But Bella refused the offer. ‘I stay home. I have to stay with dad, and I don’t want to leave my friends and my school, and Edward.’ Renee looks surprised and a bit concerned. She knows that Edward is the main part of the reason she stays and she don’t want Bella to make the same mistake as her. But Bella calms her down and her mother seems to be ok with it. Her mother promised to come back tonight and then she leaves the room. When Edward and Bella are alone again, asks Bella why Edward didn’t let her change her into a vampire. He rejects annoyed, ‘’I should leave you alone! I don’t want to take your life away from you. I’m the reason you are here know.’’ ‘’You are the reason I’m here know alive! Please never leave, never.’’ Rejects Bella. ‘’ I wont leave you as long as it makes you happy’’ And then he calls the nurse so she can give Bella’s medication. they discuss about the fact that Bella wants to be the same as Edward, but then she falls asleep.

Expectations
My expectations are correct. I can’t remember what I thought about this story before I read it. I’ve read it twice, so I know the story very well know. But the main expectations were that they would fall in love. But you can’t expect that a love like this is without problems. But I knew I had to end good because there’s also a second and third part of the story.
I liked the way it ended. Because Bella was almost dead, and it’s realistic if she would die. But I didn’t want her to die, so it’s a good thing she survived.
I didn’t had more expectations of the story, because I didn’t know much about the story. Every chapter was a new surprise. I just started to read it and I would see what would happen.

Overall opinion
I love this book. It got everything I like to read about. I like that it’s a fantasy world that takes place in the real world, I like the tension, I like the dangerous love story and I like that it’s something that could never happen here, but it’s still believable. I like the equations in this book. The more you read the book, the more equations you see, and make. It makes my curious about the other parts. I’ve read the second and third part now, and I can’t wait for the fourth part that will come out in a couple months.
