My favourite artiste is Britney Spears because I like her songs.

Britney Jean Spears was born on the second December 1981.
She grew up in Kentwood, Louisiana U.S.A.

At the age of six the future Queen of pop performed her first talent show.
At seven she was awarded silver first prize for Miss Talent USA.
By the time she was Nine she participated in different dance and song competitions.
The song “What Child is This” was her first success.

The Mickey Mouse Club was Britney’s first real success.
Initially she wasn’t allowed on the show because she was too young.
When the producer of the show saw her he send Britney to New York .
She spend three years at the Professional Performing Arts School Center and appeared in a
number of off- Broadway productions.
Her first lead was in a comedy called Ruthless.

At the age of fifteen she couldn’t stand out of the spotlights anymore.
She started out by recording several songs and after a while she had a recording contract.

Shortly after, eleven tracks of her album were recorded all over the world.

In December 1998 her song “Baby One More Time” was a number one hit.
After her second single named “Sometimes” Britney has her own headlining tour sponsored
by Tommy Hilfiger.

From then on Britney’s career has been a roller caster ride.
So far she had 11 number One hits , starred in movies, and is also the spokesperson of Pepsi.

After four years the romance with Justin Timberlake ended.
She admitted that her girl-next-door image wasn’t true: she smoked and drank alcohol.
Her career has been built out of controversy and she kissed Madonna during the
MTV awards.
She was also nominated for 2 Grammy awards and won on MTV several prices.
