We watched Feather Your Nest in our English class. Feather Your Nest is a television programme about two antique experts who help people to sell their possessions before they move to another place to start a new life.

The programme is divided into two parts. In the first part the female antique expert talks with the person about her history. Meanwhile the male antique expert takes a look at the furniture and other stuff to estimate the value. The second part is about the auction, after the auction they evaluate it and talk about it.

This time they advise a woman who lives on the Isle of Wight near the mainland of Great Britain. Years ago she came there with her husband to start a peaceful life, they bought a big villa with a great garden.
Two years ago they had a nice dinner with some relatives. After the dinner she went to swim and her husband went cleaning the table. While doing this he was stung by a wasp in his tongue. She gave him ice to stop it swelling up, but it didn’t help and he choked in his tongue and turned blue. She called the ambulance… but it was too late. L
Later on she found out she had breast cancer, but luckily she recovered.
Now two years later she doesn’t need such a villa, and she wants to start a new life.
So she called in Feather Your Nest, they came to talk about her history and to estimate the value of her possessions she wanted to sell. She talked with the two antique experts, one of them talked with her about the story of her life, the other looked at the possessions with the neighbour, she is a very good friend of hers.
At the end there’s a backyard sale and an auction, they realise a lot more money than expected with the auction.
