The two crashes in the World Trade Centre

It was a normal Tuesday, early in the morning. It was just a normal day, like every other day. People ware on work and nobody expected something tot happen. It was 9.9.1. (Nine September the year 2001). The time was 9:11, Dutch time 15 hour. Suddenly there was a plane above New York. This was very strange, because it’s forbidden to fly above New York. You can’t fly there because of the high buildings. If it was legal to fly there, and a plain would crash, you got many victims.
The date and time of the first plane crash was on 9:11. This was because 9.1.1 is the alarm number of the United States of America. So this action was planed. This first plane was a Boeing 767 from America airlines. The plane was on his way from Boston to LA. On this plane wore 81 passengers and 11 crew people. This plane crashed in the North tower on the north side. Just like 25 stores from above. But after 18 minutes there came a second plane. He crashed in the south tower. This plane was on his way from Washington to LA. The two planes together had gotten 156 people on board. De South Tower collapsed first; this was in Dutch time 16:00. 29 Minutes later. The North Tower also collapsed a couple minutes later. Both towers were 110 stores hay and in the buildings worked 50.000 people.
The World Trade Centre stood in the middle of lots of buildings. Wan the two Towers collapsed, some other smaller building collapsed to. The reason was the preacher on all the buildings.
After these planes, they executed other important building, which was for the fear for more attacks.
The next morning everything looked like a disaster. Everywhere was dust en half buildings. From the Twin Towers was nothing left. Straight away Bush came to the horrible place, to help around there.
America is angry. They will revenge. They go a fight against the international terrorism. Osama Bin Laden is the leader.
America will stop the terrorism.
They won’t civil war but a terrorism war. These attacks have many people from many countries helped, 90% from the America people support Bush.
The morning after the attack Millions people mourn of 1000th victims. If you are on the street you see many candles for the victims.
Everybody is in emotion, after the attack in America. You can see pictures from many victims.
There are 5097 missing firemen. On 300 meter lying 5000 dead people.
A big question is should we build the twin towers for the second time?
Relatives from many victims won’t like it. They think it’s a terrible idée.

The consequences:

•What does the government do to save the economy

The government tries to save the economy, but that’s difficult. They could only save it, if they got the trust of the people in the economy. To get the trust back gets the government lots of work. For example, by rent lowing they try the worth of products to low. Like that will the inflation go lower and the prizes of products also will go lower. They try to get the trust like that back.

The airline also should try to get the confident back, because the people are scared to fly. That’s way it’s going worse with, airline. To rise the turnover from the airlines go the prices of fly trips a bit lower, but this is difficult because they can’t put the prices very low because the high concurrency. But if the put the prices lower the hope than that there more people going to fly at their company, so the turnover higher gets.

The American government had given the aviation sector a guarantee from 180 days. This stood loose from $ 15 billion support that the government gifs to the American airlines. That’s how they try to help the airlines and won’t go bankrupt. The government hoops with an international guarantee arrangement to save the airlines.

•The Stock-exchange

The first Thursday after the attack on the Twin Towers, collapsed all the stocks. The Japanese stocks wore very low, since 1984 it never stood that low. The American stocks wore after 11 September closed. Because of all the victims nobody thought of money. In France wore the stocks 10% lower. Many people wore scared, were wore all there money?
Many big companies wore in the World Trade Centre.
A consequent is this example; all the people without a job. There wore also big sell reduce, like car’s, building material, clothes and electronics. Before the attacks the stocks weren’t that good, but now it’s worse.
If the economy in America, slower goes, you will recognize it in Holland, because 5% from our export goes to America. Also 2.000 from the 7.000 foreigner companies in Holland are Americans. There’s expected that the stocks will rise with 1, 5%.
Finally it’ll take a long time before the stocks are in original worth.

The Pentagon

9.43. A plane came down and hit the pentagon. This is the ministry of defence of America. One of five sides of the building and fall.

9.45. The white house would be evacuated.

10.10. A part of the pentagon falls complete.

10.13. The building of the United Nations would be evacuated.

10.22. The state department and the ministry of (justice) would be evacuated and the building of the World Bank.

The plane that was hit pentagon was a boeing 767. He hit it from the west side of the building. It was on his way from Dulles to Los Angeles. On board wore 58 passengers and 6 crew people. The first estimation is that in the pentagon 800 people died after the crash, there worked their 24.000 people a day. A short time after the attack on the pentagon is the embassy more protected in the Netherlands because they are afraid for more terror.

After the attacks the citizens trying to come out of the city because they don’t feeling save anymore after what they hear and saw about the terror attacks.
Pennsylvania

At 10:10 hour flight 93, United Airlines, crashed in Somerset County, Pennsylvania. Near the city Pittsburgh.
At 10:48 hour confirms the police that a big airplane is crashed near to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
At 11:26 hour there is a message from United Airlines. They said that flight 93, on way from Newark (New York) to San Francisco is crashed near to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
The Airline Company is very afraid for flight 175.

The fourth hijacked plane crashed in Pennsylvania, 80 miles southeast of Pittsburgh. It was not known where the plane was going to, the White House or the Capitol. It may have been shot down by the military.

The terrorists

Mohamed Atta, 22 years old, known as Mohamed El-Atmir is a well educated man. Many people liked him. He was very religious and people thought they could trust him. Atta lived in a 3-room apartment near the university in Hamburg. He shared his apartment with Al-Shahhi and a third man. The identity of the third man is still unknown.
No one ever noticed something suspicious, any connections with violent groups. This is not strange, in the North-German seaport with more then 1, 7 million inhabitants is every day one of anonymity!
According to the CIA, Hamburg is the centre of terrorism.

In the nineties, Atta did not spent all of his time in Germany, for long periods he stayed abroad. And in 1999 Atta leaves Germany, he crossed the Atlantic Ocean to America.
In Florida he attended flying lessons, just like Jarrah and Biermann, a German student. Six weeks long they shared their passion for flying. Biermann said about Atta and Jarrah that they became less friendly and acted more tensed since their arrival in Florida. During a training flight they wanted to fly and control the radio, according to regulations this is a job for 2 people.

For their last night on earth, they stayed at a Comfort Inn. The Comfort Inn was situated in a street with gasoline stations and fast-food restaurants. In their rented car, they spent part of their evening in South Portland (Maine). At the Maine Mall Road they spent 15 minutes in a Pizza Hut and they tanked. At the next village, Scarborough, they did some shopping and when they crossed toll-gates they were filmed. One of the man smiled into the camera, Atta looked straight ahead. Nobody could have expected that these men would do such terrible things the next day.

The next day they packed their bags and at 5.33 hours they left their room at the Comfort Inn. It took them 12 minutes to get to Portland International Jetport. They parked their car, a silver blue Nissan Altima, at the entrance.
They went aboard the US Airways, flight 5930 to Logon International Airport in Boston and there they changed to American Airlines, Flight 11.
The crew of the boeing 767, two pilots and nine air-hosts and hostesses had to bring 81 passengers to Los Angeles.
Atta, Walid al-Shahri and Abdulaziz Alomari are ready to leave, just as Wail Alshehri and Satam al-Suqami waited for their departure.

Further on there is another boeing 767, flight 175, preparing to take off to Los Angeles, nine crewmembers and 56 passengers under which Marwan al-Shahhi, Fayes Ahmed, Mohand Alshehri, Hamza Alghamdi and Ahmed Alghamdi. A second team!

There are two more Boeings 757 preparing to take off, one from Newark Airport (New York) and one from Dulles Airport (Washington). United Airlines, Flight 93 goes to San Francisco. American Airlines Flight 77 goes to Los Angeles.
Ahmed Al-Haznawi leads the third group, and Kahlid Al Midhar leads the fourth group.
All nineteen terrorists can pass by the security-employee without the discovery of their hidden knifes.

Four plains on a sunny day! The first plain takes off at 7.59 hours and the last plain takes of at 8.10 hours.

Shortly after departure the terrorists took their chances. With their knifes they went into the cockpit and took over control. Some passengers saw what happened and with their cell phones they called their families and told them they were hijacked. One of them is a well-known face from the broadcast CNN, Barbara Olsen; she is aboard flight 77 from American Airlines. She called her husband and told him they were hijacked. When they were disconnected her husband called immediately the ministry of Justice. Seconds later Barbara called again and asked her husband what to do, what to tell the pilot. And again they were disconnected. For the last time!

Aboard United Flight 93 Mark Bingham called his mother in San Francisco. “In case I will never see you again, I would like you to know, how much I love you.

On aboard United Flight 175 Peter Hanson told his father that the plain will crash.

At 8.35 hours the military command at Cheyenne Mountain in Colorado received the message that an American passenger plane was hijacked. At the same moment president Bush left the Colony Beach & Tennis Club. He was on his way to give a speech about education at the Emma E. Brooker Elementary School. Within 10 minutes presidency will get a whole different turn.

The attacks were not claimed. But probably has Osama bin Laden something to do with it.
