2. Genre: ( short story, novel, play,)
The book genre is fantasy. The movie was a comedy.
3. Author:
The author is Roald Dahl.
4. Setting: ( where and when does the story take place)
I don’t know exactly, but that’s because I don’t remember it was mentioned in the book. I don’t think it plays an important role because the author would have mentioned it if it would. I think in the school, home, and outside.
5. Point of View: ( who tells the story, 1st person narrator, 3rd person narrator)
It’s written by an outsider who knows everything. He can even read the minds of the persons.

Miss Honey is the teacher of group three, who plays a big role at the end of the story.
8. Theme(s): ( the important issues e.g. friendship, love, jealousy)
The theme from the book is friendship, and school, because the place where the story takes place is school, and Matilda is friends with Miss Honey.
10. Give a summary of the book (about 200 words)
The story is about Matilda, a little girl. When she was two years old, she could already read the newspaper, and when she was four she read literary books from the library. Now she’s 5 years old, and she can go to school for the first time. Miss Honey finds out that Mathilda is a genius. The headteacher, miss Trunchbull, is a bitch. She hates children, especially Matilda, because her dad sold her a rubbish car. That’s why she thinks a child of such a guy can't be brilliant. But miss Honey doesn’t give up and goes to Matilda’s parents. But they don’t believe her either. After a while Mathilda finds out she has another power. With the energy she has inside her she can lift up objects and let them fly. A lot more miracles happen now she knows she has this power. Now she can cope with that bitch of a Trunchbull!!! And she will!! When people find out Matilda’s dad wasn’t honest in his car business, Matilda’s parents move to Spain. Matilda doesn’t like the idea of living with her parents the rest of her life, so she stay’s with miss Honey. Happy end for Matilda, but for Trunchbull…
10. Give your own opinion (about 100 words):
This book was very interesting! It’s a great book if you like to let your fantasy go wild! Something for me! It’s simple to understand, there are no difficult words or long sentences. I really enjoyed reading it, but Matilda isn’t lucky with her parents. They act like she doesn’t even exist! I was very happy when she stayed with miss Honey at the end of the story. There was finally someone how cared about her! But miss Trunchbull made me angry every time! You can read the book very quick, but the end is a bit short. Nice book!
