Theme
There are two themes in this story. The growing up of a young, rich girl and matching other people, but losing your own chance of love.
Beginning/end
In the beginning of the story the gouverness, Mrs. Taylor, married Mr. Weston, so she left the house of Emma. Emma becomes lonely and meets Harriet, a girl who falls in love easily.
At the end of the story, Emma married Mr. Knightley, the brother of her sisters husband.
My opinion
In the beginning I thought it was an awful book, but after a few chapters the book becomes much better. The character of Emma is really good and especially the way it’s written. I didn’t expect the book to end the way it did, so it was really surprising. I think that everyone should read this wonderful book.
