I have chosen the book, beceause I found that it had an interesting title. I have read the back of the book too, it was interesting.

Every word that is written in this book had truely happened in real life. When I was finished with reading, I thought that the story was actually fictious.

Report:
This book is going over a very ugly man, that calls the Elephant man, because he looks like a elephant. His name is Joseph Merrick. Joseph has got no friends. Every body found him so ugly that no body wants to talk with him. His live chanced when Dokter Frederick Treves from the Londen Hospital wants to talk with him.

The Elephant Man takes place in londen but also in Berkshire, in the late nineteenth centery. The whole story takes six years.

After that Dokter Frederick Treves talked with him, he moved to an other place. After two years the police found him with a card from The Londen Hospital in his hand. They bring him to the hospital from Dokter Frederic Treves. There he finds his home. Dokter Trevis writes a letter to the newspaper. Everybody knows him now, important people want to know him now. He gets friends and lived happy. On one day he wants to the country. He can stay six weeks with a friend that lives there. When he has come back he is the happiest man in the world.
Than he is dies. He wanted to sleep like a normal man, but brook his neck.

There are two important characters.
The first is the Elephant man. He is lonely, beceause he is ugly. He wants to be a normal man.
He loves reading.
The secend character is Dokter Trevis. He is a kind person, because he helps Merrick with his dreams.
