• Give your opinion about the main character, give 3 supportive arguments taken from you book.
The main Character is Coll (Collette) She is sixteen years old and lives with her father mother and little sister Sarah in a normal house.
I think she is a voluntarily and, reliable Girl because she
spend a lot of time with her friend Greg and her best girlfriend Val. And is always there for them.
Coll is a bit shy. For example; when she saw Art at the swimming pool, she can’t say anything to him because she thinks he don’t like her.
She is also a bit insecure about herself, for example:
when she doesn't know what to ware on her date with Art or on the dinner with Arts’ Family. She is also insecure when she introduce Art to her family. Because she thinks Art don’t like her mum and her house.
• Highlight the most striking event in the book and explain why you have chosen this event.
I have chosen the event who Art ask Coll to spend a weekend with him and his family in there cottage.
This is a short summery of the event:
Art asked Coll to spend a weekend with him in his cottage. Coll said immediately yes. She’s surprised when her mother said it is okay. The first day was great! Art let her the environment seen. They lie in the grass and kissing each other. Coll is completely in love! But in the evening when they goes back to the cottage, she saw only one bed. Completely upset tells she Art that she don’t want to sleep together with him in one bed. Art were angry and cries that everything is fine between them expect sex. Coll go down and sleeps on the bank that night. She is really disappointed in Art. She thinks he really like her because he want only sex. The next morning she ignored Art. When she’s at home she tells her mother everything. She is really angry en goes to Arts’ house. Arts’ parents are asthenische. They thought Art had ask Coll were she want to sleep. They don’t understand why Colls’ mother so upset is. Coll and her mother go back and Coll don’t want to see him again.
I have chosen this event because it was the funniest event of the book. In this event there is someone happen. There were a lot of chapters were nothing happen and they are boring.
• The book ended in a certain way. Rewrite in short an other ending which you prefer.
If I rewrite the end, it would be like this:
When I was back at home I tell mum that I’ve seen Art in the city. Mum was astonished but tells me to go to his house. If I were there I tell him that I give him a new change. We talk a long time and at the end we were kissing.
