Summary
It all starts on the airport. In the beginning there is a huge snowstorm, so there can’t fly and land much planes. Mel Bakersfield is the boss of the controlcentre so he has to watch much more what all happens in the air. That is not good for his marriage, because he never is at home. Vernon Demerest is a pilot. He doesn’t really loves his wife anymore and he cheats her with hostesses Gwen. Because his wife never asks she will never find out. D.O. Guerrero just lost his job and now he lives with his wife (Inez) in a very bad apartment. Because Inez works in a coffee shop, they don’t earn much money. He wants to try to go on the flight to Rome and fire there a homemade bomb, because Inez gets a lot of money from the airlines when he dies in a plane.
Ada Quonsett lives in L.A. and because she doesn’t have much money she always flies to her daughter in New York as a stowaway. When the flight to Rome leaves D.O. Guerrero is on and he wants to fire his bomb on it. But the people on the airport find out that D.O. Guerrero has a bomb in his suitcase, because Inez tells them that, but the flight already left. Gwen wants to get the suitcase with Ada who’s sitting next to him. That plan fails and Guerrero fires the bomb. Then there comes a big hole in the airplane, but the plane is still flying! Because Gwen is next to Guerrero she dies too. Luckily the rest of the plane is able to land on time and they all survive.
