Sense and sensibility by Jane Austen

When Mr. Dashwood died, he left all his money to his first wife's son John Dashwood. His second wife and her daughters get just a little bit and they have to move out. Mrs. Dashwood and her daughters; Elinor, Marianne and Margaret are forced to search for another home. Soon they get an opportunity to move to Barton Park that is being owned by the Middletons (Mrs. Dashwood her cousin and his mother) they can live in Barton Cottage. Elinor is sad they have to leave because she has fallen in love with Edward Ferrars. He is the brother-in-law of their half-brother John.
They move and Marianne bumps into the handsome John Willoughby. He saved her when she twisted her ankle in the rain. Marianne falls hopelessly in love with him. However, he marries a rich woman and breaks her hart. At the same time Elinor and Marianne meet Colonel Brandon who falls in love with Marianne. She reminds him of a young girl that he loved in the past. Their love wasn't approved and they didn't see each other for a long time. When he found her she died in his arms.
Marianne hasn't got any interest in him because she is in love with John Willougby. When Willoughby married Miss Grey, Marianne was lovesick and miserable. She took a walk and it began to rain. She was very weak and fainted. Colonel Brandon finds her and brings her back to her sister Elinor. Marianne almost dies because she has got an enormous fever. When Elinor prepares herself for the worst Marianne wakes up and is better. She is still very weak but she isn't going to die anymore. She thanks Colonel Brandon and in the time that follows she begins to fall in love with him.
While this is going on they have also met Lucy Steel. Lucy is secretly engaged with Edward Ferrars. Elinor is very disappointed because she can't tell anybody. She loves Edward but he can't marry her. When Edward's mother hears that he is secretly engaged to a girl she didn’t love him anymore. His younger brother Robbert Ferrars is very rich now. Lucy changes her mind and marries Robbert. The Dashwood's think that Edward is married to Lucy but he hasn't and asked if Elinor will marry him. She agrees and they marry the same day that Colonel Brandon and Marianne marry to each other.
