I think it is a very good book. I really enjoyed reading this book. It wasn’t difficult to read and it had a very good story. It was also very exciting, because I was curious all the time about what was going to happen.

13. Make a short summary of the novel.
Lara Lewis is a 45 year old, married woman. She is married to an important children surgeon, who is almost every day on his work, or he travels a lot for his work. Slowly Lara suspects that her husband is unfaithful to her, and this seems to be true. At the beginning of a new trip, Bill (Lara’s husband) leaves his wife and gets in the car with Melissa Kenney, a kind of assistant of Bill, much younger than Lara. Lara is angry, because she had just planned a Second Honeymoon for her and Bill in France, the same trip they did when they were just married.
Lara is very miserable en decided to contemplate in their summerhouse at the Pacific, together with her dog Dex.
A few days later her porch gets broken, and she calls the mechanic to repair it. To her surprise Dan Holland is a very attractive, charming and young man.
A romance develops, Dan is much younger than Lara but has a lot of interest in her, and Lara seems to forget her problems that she has with Bill.
Lara makes a bold move; she decides to invite Dan, who she hardly knows, to take the trip to France with her. She decided not to say Dan that it used to be her Second Honeymoon.
So they leave America to have a very romantic trip in France. They start in Paris, where Lara had the best time of her life. Sometimes they had a little fight, but Dan always seems to make it up with her. They rent
One day the daughter of Lara calls her, but she is in the shower so Dan picks up the telephone. Her daughter begins with: “Hey mom, how are you? How is your second honeymoon?” Dan is stunned about what he hears, and Lara and Dan have a really big fight. He walked away and she couldn’t find hem anymore. So she decided to ride back to Paris with the rented car, and when she enters the Ritz Hotel, Bill is standing there. He wants to make it up to her and start all over again.
That evening they eat at the most expensive hotel in Paris, but Bill is very rude to Lara, and when she left to the toilets to wash away her tears, Dan enters the restaurant. Dan and Bill start to argue, and when Lara returns, Dan had just left. So she is very sad and goes to the airport, for the first plane back to America. But she has to wait a very long time, so she sits in the bar all the time. Then suddenly Dan walks in, and they realize their love for each other is very strong and that they will never leave each other again. So they take the plane and live happily ever after.
