This book is a fictitious book. It goes about a fictive kingdom. A lot of people say C.S. Lewis has tried to let people see, on another way, the fight between God and the devil. I believe it too. In this story the lion, Aslan, symbolises Jesus and the White Witch symbolises the evil, the devil.
In the life on earth World War II is going. The time isn’t to say in Narnia. When the four children come tumbling out of the Wardrobe there are just a few minutes past
Theme
The most important theme is that the Good conquers the Bad.
The lion, Aslan, and the White Which are very important, because they are the leaders.
The four children; Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy are also very important, because you travel with them and they are people too.
The professor hasn’t an important role, but I think C.S. Lewis tried to be the professor.
The story begins on earth, in the country parts of England, in the house of a professor and so it ends. But the children are in Narnia the greatest part of the story.
It’s a good book to read, because it’s not too difficult. I’ve read a book about the live of C.S. Lewis and so I know a few things about him and these chronicles.
If you want to read a lovely book this one isn’t, but if you have to for English it’s a very, very good one.
An important passage is the moment when the White Which dies Aslan. But the most important passage is when the two girls still crying hear the voice of Aslan, alive!
The character I dislike is the White Which, of course. But I don’t like to be a person like Edmund (although he become an honest man).
My favourite character is Lucy. She’s so nice. Peter is a very brave boy. I’d like to have so much faith as he has.
I can not really compare this book to others, cause in general I don’t like fictitious stories.
