My talk is about New York
New York is one of the biggest states of America.
The state New York borders in the north on the Canadian provinces Ontario and Quebec, in the east at Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut and the Atlantic Ocean, in the south at the states New Jersey and Pennsylvania and in the west at Pennsylvania and the Canadian province Ontario.
The state has a surface of 130,000 kilometre and about 18 million inhabitants.
New-York City isn’t the capital of New York, Albany is the capital.
The state is divided in two parts, part one is the New York Metropolitan Area, that’s the area around New York City.
And part two is the rest of the state, called; Upstate New York.
Most of the inhabitants of New York live along the Hudson River and the Mohawk River.
New-York has 20,000,000 inhabitants, 17% of those are African American.
In the state lie more than 8000 lakes spread, Oneida Reprehend is the largest.
In the northern part, at the large lakes and with industry cities like Buffalo, Rochester and Syracuse there isn’t anything interesting for tourists.
New York is the most important industry state of the United States, agriculture, TV and radio are the biggest moneymakers.
The Indians were the original inhabitants of New-York.
The first person that set foot in North-America was Giovanni dons Verrazano, he was a Frenchman; he was the first European that comes on wall in North-America.
He went into the Bay of New-York that was in 1524.
Now I’ll tell you some thing about a famous city in New York, New York City.
The state in which New-York city lies is also called New-York that’s why they say New York City if they talk about the City.
New York City consists of five districts: Manhattan (the best known), the Bronx, Queens, Brooklyn and States Island.
New York City is one of the most cultural cities of America and probably of the world.
New York City has many famous buildings like; The Empire State Building, Statue of Liberty and many more.
Before the 11th of September the Word Trade Centre was still standing, two huge skyscrapers.
I’ll tell you something about my favourite building, The Empire State building.
It’s my favourite because of its shape. Until 1973 the Empire State Building was the highest building in the world.
The construction started at the 17th October in 1929 and it was ready in 1931.
The building has got 102 floors and 6.500 windows.
The height of the building is; 445 meters
